Mine also has to be opened the whole way but once up stays up fine. Funny you say that, the boot lid on my old saxo used to fly open! . really handy when you'r hands are full.

It was the cooant sensor, i repaced the cheap one with a Hella one and it's running perfect I guess the old saying "buy cheap, buy twice" is true lol

Got the new coolant sensor in today and it's working perfect but still blowing cold 😞 the old sensor was very cursty :poo:

Bit of a fail.... So My plan today was to change the thermostat and temp sensor as for a while the heater was only blowing cold and the temperature guage was showing that the car was not getting up to temperature. then a few days ago the temperature needle didn't move from the bottom that's why...

Quick question when I set the heater control to hot do i turn the fan on? Ive been looking on youtube and some people say put the heater to hot and turn the fan on, and others say to turn it to hot and keep the fan off:confused: Thanks

My shitbox failed the irish version of the MOT yesterday on emissions. It failed the high idle CO @ 0.58% above 0.30% = fail. It got new oil and filter, air filter, spark plugs and fuel filter earlier in the week. It got a new cat last year for the test at 155685 miles. It now has 170588...

Ha, No lead foot but something's wrong because i can smell the un-burnt petrol. no warning lights and it's running perfect in every other way so idk .:S Next service is due in 5k miles so ill change everything and hope that sorts it. EDIT: Just thinking, the car takes a while to heat up so...

Dont worry about high mileage, as long as it's well looked after it will run forever. My 1.2 8v still going great .

Hi so I gotta change my thermostat and got some genuine Renault type d coolant but do I have to mix it with water or do I just pour it in? The bottle doesn't say much:S. Thanks:cool: I'ts this stuff

I think the oil sensor in under the alternator at the front of the engine

My clio is only blowing cold it's a 2000 mk2 and doesn't have air-con, would the busted cog still the likely problem? One other thing is that the heater panel does not light up when you put the lights on so maybe it could be a loose conection? Thanks
