We use a combo of 12.5 plus relevant server agents, BESR (previously LiveState) and the relevant NetApp solutions on Exchange and SQL platforms.
BESR is an absolute gem and well worth going for.
Around 5pm.
White 08 plate 197 with Black alloys.
I turned right from Walbottle Road onto Newburn High Street at Pringles, you were a good few yards away from your give way line and speeding towards it, but I still had priority since I was on the roundabout already, giving me priority. It's a...
Utter tosh.
I'm slowly waking up to how good Macs are for what I might need to use them for (mainly publishing/design), but "high quality components" and "stability of the O/S at it (sic) maximum" are spouting rubbish.
Using a clean machine (a last gen Mac Pro) that's been set up and lovingly...
From that photo and from various reviews (and Nvidia's ever changing name/spec goalpost game) that card's the "newer" 216 core version, as opposed to the "slower" version with 192.... still a damn quick card an I certainly wouldn't complain!
Antec 900-2 - very nice. Got the Twelve Hundred...
Not a bad idea, given the prices new.... paid 130 before Christmas for one and they're now about 160ish in most places! Still, it's a damn fine case.
Rumblings on OCUK forums about some foreign hackery/DenialOfService attacks I think, but I've not checked since earlier Thursday evening for...
OP: if you're going for them, get yourself to www.solwise.co.uk and get some of the HD adaptors from there instead. Better quality and cheaper than the Netgear stuff and (in my experience) work a little faster. Also based on Homeplug/Homeplug AV standards, rather then Netgear's own "we want...
Smartnav here, 'cause it came free with the car when I bought it a couple of years back.
It's never out of date, it never gets anything wrong, it redirects around traffic hotspots where possible and it can't be nicked without tearing the car apart.
Yeah, TomTom's cheaper/disposable etc...
Hate to do a full message quote, but that's one of the most sensible replies I've ever seen related to this kind of subject!
Personally, I'm happy with Vista.
Also had well specced Mac mini as well, and although OSX was excellent, I just wasn't happy overall with the whole Mac...
Exactly! We used to do that for staff, but with the work we did that I mentioned above it was possible for us to effectively use the policies from our Enterprise Console, export those policies and integrate them into an .EXE, effectively creating a customised standalone version. Internet...
I'm part way through a rollout where I've specified internet updates in lieu of the individual sites being linked into our core network.... 100 of 150 sites done (about 2000 machines so far) and it's purring like a kitten. Even removes existing security software using the integrated Competitor...
+2 from me on that one as well. As said, slightly over budget but worth stretching to, as it'll hand an 8800GT its butt on a plate every time.
Keep an eye on Scan's website as well, as you may get the same kind of card cheaper on there and with miles better service than you ever will at OCUK.
Sort of, if you run it as Media Centre Extender from a Windows Vista machine that's running Media Centre and has a Freeview tuner installed. XP Media Centre might do the job as well, but it's a good long while since I had XPMCE on the Media machine.
Works a treat on mine.
Yep, although it's just my opinion!
I'm not swallowing any MS bull, but neither am I being convinced by Mac zealots and their pathetic adverts. My experience and those of just about everyone I know using Vista is spot on.... any who have had problems have been hardware related. The dicky...
Luckily your above statement's wrong!
Has to be something it doesn't like about the hardware that's causing the instability. I've stuck it on about 200 machines now and every single one is fine.... only issues I've seen have been where a machine's got slightly dicky RAM, after which a...
Spot on. My Toshiba 32" set doesn't do 1366(1360)x768 via VGA correctly and overscans it. Only way to get it to display correct size is to force a higher refresh rate than the screen does and watch the TV's scaler (badly) sort it out.
I gave up in the end and do 1280x768 over HDMI from the...
Netstumbler running on a laptop with a GPS connection.
Of course, using the data you find to connect to networks would be illegal obviously and you'd deserve to be smacked with the long arm of the law!
Definitely Ultramon I'd say. Even bought extra copies work for machines I use.
I've found multi screen support better on ATI cards than Nvidia though, but Ultramon allows you to smooth away any grief from this angle.
If it's a council with the words "Newcastle" and "Tyne" in it's name, the chances of the staff using their computers for work are fairly slim anyway.... and that's even with the majority of non work related sites blocked! Extra bandwidth would just allow people to do that little bit less in...
At our place a few weeks ago, in 4 working days (roughly 28 hours), streaming media accounted for over 15gb of traffic, which was 58% of the total monitored traffic passing through the proxy server.
That's a fairly hefty chunk of bandwidth wasted, so an addition to our acceptable usage...
Thunderbird with a GMail account.
Add to that the Lightning plugin for Calendar support and a sync provider for Google Calendar and you're laughing.
Mail and calendar available everywhere, not to mention very easy relocation of mail/calendar data to a different hard drive and the ability...
Factor in a 3 year warranty from Costco and the fact that their return/replacement policy on the warranty's very favourable, then it does look worth doing.
Same argument (for some) for buying from John Lewis or somewhere like Fenwick if you've got the choice.
go to the actual feed link uisng IE7, after which it should show the current feed and an option near the top to subscribe to the feed.
Once you've subscribed, go back to the RSS feed gadget, select options and then choose the relevant for displaying in the gadget.
Same goes for any other...
Spotted in Fenham area of Newcastle upon Tyne, mid-afternoon. Didn't get a plate or better look though, as I was tearing past in the Colt.
Damn those Renaultsports look good in white though.... almost makes me want to go French again. Failing that, I'll take one in Vertigo Green, but the...
