    Front Shortened number plate

I want a small illegal number plate. Where do I get one? Links are appreciated if they're not stupidly expensive. Thanks Clio friends!

    Drivers footwell damp.

Check that the seal is seated correctly, my wife's RSi was soaking on the driver's side and I found that the seal was not quite pushed in properly on the back corner. Got a small screw driver on it and it's been perfect ever since. If it's perished then you can buy one quite easily on ebay etc.

    Cambelt snapped

Oh dear, could've done a lot of damage at that speed, I'd agree with the 2nd hand engine option.

Car has rough idle after cam fixed

Hi all! Bit of a long one this, so sorry in advance. OK, driving along the other day and my cam belt tensioner broke, shattered the cover and all engine power died. Pulled in and it wouldn't start again. Called my mechanic and he has now fixed it and after replacing 8 valves and all necessary...

What have you done to your car today ???

Finally pinned my mate down to build my custom exhaust for the cup. It sounds nice and quiet on idle and throaty when you hit the loud pedal. I no longer sound like a chav :)

    Sad times - She's a write-off

A sad read. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that. No-one got hurt. Not even the fox! You've learned a lot about Clio's by tinkering about with it and if you do decide to buy it back and break it, you'll probably have most of the money that's needed for a trophy, along with the payout...

Hi. I'm new. And here's my new 172 Cup.

Welcome. My cup has the same ding in the door pillar and the driver door is missing the cup badge. Looks nice overall, especially the wheels.

    From Rags to Riches

This is what it looked like before it went into the workshop. I've gone standard outside and spent time on the engine. Spec block bored to 1900 mercedes cosworth 2.3l pistons with triumph V8 stag conrods and 1.8 cvh crank (lightened and balanced) Lightened and balanced flywheel head fully ported...

The laquer is properly peeling off in big chunks, you can literally pull big bits of it off, I was going to use it to get rid of that. Still a bad idea?

    From Rags to Riches

You certainly are an inspiration. I'm going to refurbish my speedlines myself now. I bought a wire brush! Seriously though - good work. I want to tidy my engine up now.

Hi and welcome! To get at the plugs, you need to remove the inlet manifold, did mine a while back.
