Hi all,
Just been to test drive a 2009 rs 200 and noticed the clutch biting point seemed a little low, is this normal on the 200 as alot seem to say its a high biting point on them?
Really like the car but unsure if the clutch is alright?
Thanks in advance
Anyone on here? Was in the blue cooper s, wanted to see what it compared to with a 182 since I sold mine any mods? , 182 looked good still my favorite colour.
Thanks for your help mate, it's not a massive amount of oil might clean it off and see how much comes back, the back of the engine is covered in oil tho.
Does anyone have a standard 182 map taken off an rs-tuner? My 182 had a bad map on it when I bought it so have no backup of original 182 one.
Would somebody else's standard map back upto my ecu using rs-tuner?
Thanks
Ok thanks, the bits I have highlighted in red what are they for and can they be blocked off as the current cylinder head has the one to the right blocked off, was it the carbon canister pipe?
Idle is around 950rpm and does seem a little smoother still has a little splutter tho.
Yeah I'm always running it on 98 :)
Only fault code that showed was an historic abs one
Thanks for the reply,
Do both the full ecu and the cal file again ?
It wasn't connected to a charger at the time, the charger i have is only 4amp would this be enough ?
Will give that a go first, the pre cat lambda was only changed 10months ago so hoping its not that again.
Anyone else had this?
Remapped with the supplied 98ron map and it feels pretty horrid to be fair, lower torque hasnt improved and the 5k kick remains but the car seems to be struggling to rev compaired to before the map :(
What could be causing this ? the car does smell of petrol
Going to keep...
Did I flash one of you two on the bypass near archers gate Amesbury last night? Was in a silver 182, seen another RB last week by the high post also flashed to say hi
Car is hesitating to accelerate when cold doesn't want to rev for a few minutes of driving, I had this before and Dan @sjm replaced the lambda sensor about 10 months ago and it cured it, could the car have destroyed another sensor again in such a short period of time?
Any help would be great
Thanks for the reply, sorry that should of said the car smells of petrol on idle and when you accelerate hard.
It had a lambda sensor replaced last year as it wouldn't rev over 2k when cold, that fixed the issue but it seems to be coming back again.
Car keeps chucking up the above fault code - catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1.
A previous had fitted a different cat could this be causing the fault code? The car does not petrol on idle, also seems to be struggling when cold to accelerate, a new lambda sensor fixed this a a while back...
Hey all,
How hard is it to fit a new clutch cable on the 182, the current one doesn't aeem right and the clutch pedal has alot of play at the top that doesn't seem to do anything,
How should the cable be routed ? Is there any guide for it ?
Thanks
Hi all,
Noticed my headlight beam looked a tad low so pushed the headlight bulb slightly but this caused the whole unit to drop and now just wobbles about :(
The other side also seems to move about a lot side to side and down, are they both knackered or should there be some movement?
Thanks
