Phoned them up just now - on M100 and been paying £47 for ages (laziness)
Best they would do was £29 with the "agents personal discount code" - but inspired by the above I want at least half, so its cancelled. See if I get a call!
They also tried a scare tactic regarding other suppliers not...
I'd also be interested to know how it affects daily driving vibrations wise. I've got a cup, and i'm hesitant to upgrade as im not sure how shaky it will get when on the road.
As for the PMS. I love mine. @bloke is correct, its so precise with the feel of the gear changes.
+1 on the cup, I drive one as a daily too. Never get tired of driving it, great fun to sling round the back roads to work!
If you're after a 'precision rifle' gear change, I can recommend the PMS Precision Linkage set, its transformed the feel of mine - love it
I recently got the Pure Motorsports shifter, its epically good! Not to difficult to fit, even though I had a mate who had fitted his before help - 2 people would be best for fitting.
Haha! It was so frustrating until I sat there and realised what was happening. I would also recommend torqueing the bolts after as well for extra peace of mind. Good luck!
I had this same problem when I did mine mate. I found the trick was to undo the gearbox bolt first, then the larger chassis one. If you do the gearbox bolt last, the engine mounts flex and you don't get any torque on the bolt. :)
Hi,
Bit off topic as its not a Clio..
Im trying to get rid of my old car at the moment - E36 328i cabriolet. Its got the usual Motorsports wheels / m3 bumpers and has only done 90k. Has a problem at the moment wereby it will start, but will run really lumpy and has no power at all. Tried to fix...
Just picked up an obd for my 172. Was planning to install it permanently, but it looks like there is no switched live to the obd port as it remains on when them key is out of the ignition.
Does anyone know of a way to change this power feed to a switched live without doing any damage...
Thanks Thomas - looks like a plan
Is the wiring for the cig lighter in the footwell, or would I have to follow it all the way back to the back of the lighter its self?
Hi All,
Currently got a Mio 388 Dashcam which I have plugged into the cigarette socket for power. As you can imagine, this is a bit messy and means the cigarette socket cant be used for anything else.
I was planning to wire this directly into a switched live wire inside the interior light...
+1 for using the green slip.
Previous owner nicked the tax out of my car when he sold it to the dealer. Strangely enough it's still showing as taxed so he hasn't refunded it yet. Been waiting for the v5 for 2 weeks now, they take ages but I can't get a duplicate disc without it.
lol true, luckily its just a figure of speech ;)
The mileage is fantastic, I just need to be careful not to let the servicing/car slip considering its been so well looked after
Hi,
Finally the owner of a fantastic blue 172 cup. I was interested to see if it was owned by a previous member of the forum? Its a bit unique in the fact that it has only ever been owned by one person for 9 years, has a full Renault SH and has only done 40k! Picked it up in Milton Keynes which...
Lovely idea mate, however there is nothing decent that is within a 40 mile radius. Everything that comes up in my area sells before I can even get a viewing.
Thanks Steve
he has replaced the throttle pedal with a black plastic one when he got the car, so that's what I suspect it could be that as it ties in with the two lights. He said he is going to try another pedal in there to see whether that helps.
It is intermittent when driving as although the...
Hi,
Did post this in the welcome forum but thought it chuck it in here too.
I have found a nice 182 for sale this weekend just gone, however on the verge of buying it today found that there was a major problem with the car. On the test drive I drove the car and found that it was low on power...
Hi,
Thought I would introduce myself. I'm currently looking for a Clio 182 in the Surrey area - proving to be harder than I thought as they are almost as rare as hen's teeth!
I have always loved the Renault sport range, especially the Clio Williams that I always coveted when I was younger. Now...
