Hi all. First off I've just fitted a new transponder ring to my ph1. Car starts fine.
I can't for the life of me get the keys to resync for the central locking. I've read half a dozen methods on here and other places and none have worked so far.
This morning I attempted to repair both...
It wasn't me you saw but there is my ph1, a black 172 and a trophy in Eastwood that I've seen. Did u wave at me on moor green road last week. That was a black 172
So I've come across a 1.2 16v 137k Phase 2 from a work mate. It's got 2 months MoT left.
It's been crashed once thru a fence but has been repaired since but poorly.
The exhaust has snapped at the cat.
The shocks are shocking.
The ARB needs rebushing.
Brakes need doing.
EML has been on for last...
Circlip damaged in gearbox?
I'm no expert but its rings a bell from something I've read before.
@NorthloopCup, @bloke
One of the above will know for sure.
So this morning I managed to bump the back of a Hilux in the kangoo.
Minimal damage to the Hilux obviously...
The Os wing and headlamp are goosed. The frame the headlamp sit in (panel mask?) Is a bit bent but salvageable.
It's the inner wing end I'm concerned about. Any thoughts from anyone...
No reason you can't have fun in a 1.2 I'm sure.
Power mods will be non existent I'm guessing.
I'd strip the s**t out of the car. Right down to removing unnecessary looms etc.
Decent coilovers. (?)
Oz F1 alloys from Ph1 172 are fairly light but others are lighter I'm sure.
Air filter
Exhaust (?)...

New Rainsports on front (1K ago)
Could do with front bumper respray and a few dings pulling. ( Boot, drivers door)
Wheels need a refurb.

If the door lock is just spinning in circles it could have been frozen. This happens to my driver's door in cold weather. Dumping some warm water on the lock fixes it up straight away.
Thanks for the response, I'm looking for something more fast road setup than track/competition. Doesn't look to be many options that are reasonably priced so far. I'll probably stick with a new OEM one.. I've recently new OEM top and bottom engine mounts, I have an evol engineering dogbone also.
