I’m in Cornwall. There doesn’t seem to be many down here that I know of that knows anything about cliosports. It’s so fustrating as I haven’t drove it for over a month now.

Hi guys…. Has anyone had any luck yet? My garage is completely stuck. He’s changed wires, and done everything suggested. He said we can try a new starter motor but don’t want to fork out loads if not that. He said the feed to the starter motor is firing intermittently but no idea what to do now...

My 197 is playing up! I’ve read afew things about this issue but has anyone solved it? When I push start button everything looks like it’s about to start as normal including lights on dash as normal, but won’t start. Then says “steering not locked” and no matter what I do or reset, it won’t...

Advice needed… I have a 197 and just had it in the garage for exhaust. The mechanic tried to modify it so it doesn’t constantly hit the subframe but was unable. Also the flex is leaking so will need new front part of the exhaust from manifold with flex pipe to middle section. Struggling to find...

Ahh that’s annoying. I managed to find one for o/s last year, but now need the n/s replacing.

Does anyone know where or if they have any knocking around a stub axle with the back plate and sensor attached please? They seem to be not available anywhere! It’s for clio sport 197 2008 rear left.

Hi, does anyone know anywhere that’s breaking a clio sport 197 2008? Looking for… 2 x top mounts 2 x front shockers Both parts offside front hub with ball joint. Renault have it in the diagram number 2 & 6 They are very expensive from dealers & most breakers don’t have any!

So, I’ve just been quoted £1100 from a garage with parts included… 2x front shockers 2 x top mounts Both the offside front hub with ball joints. Plus labour, Does anyone know any cheaper parts as them alone were £900. It’s for 197 sport

Hi, can anyone help… my 197 2008 has suddenly started locking and unlocking itself! I actually got locked inside yesterday. Ive changed my battery fob but it’s still doing it. Any help appreciated.

Hi, I don’t suppose anyone has a rear brake disc lying around that they want to sell? I bought a set in Nov last year after my driver stub axel broke... now the passenger stub axel has just broken and damaged the new disc!! It’s for a cliosport 197

Yeah il have a look in the morning,althou if I have to spend,il probs go for Philips crystal vision, althou I don’t think they are road legal? I’ve heard they are a pain to take out but I have a full day to do them

I thought that, but I’m abit weird & use the night lights timer when I finish work so I can see when I get out the car & both were working day before. Maybe it’s just a coinsidence. Il get some new bulbs & check.

Hi, is it unusual for both main headlight bulbs to suddenly stop working? All side lights/indicators & full beam work.. would it be both bulbs gone or maybe a fuse? It’s on a 197.

Please convince me why you need a stub axle in the 1st place. I took it too a garage as fault reading from esp/abs was the rear drivers sensor not reading the wheel. So he said the bracket/axle is badly corroded with the abs wire and il need a stub axle with bracket & abs sensor as apparently...

Does anyone know anybody breaking a sport 197? It’s impossible to find drivers side rear axle stub with abs! Checked on the links above but sold out.

This might sound like a stupid question, but I’ve rang renparts they have passenger side stub axle with abs... would that fit the drivers side or are they different?

Renault specialist are not the easiest to find down Cornwall, I have to take it to a garage sale that don’t hardly see any sport! Yeah I’ve been told il need new discs/pads, Is it ok to drive for a week?

Sorry I forgot to say.. it’s a 197 sport, I’ve been told by Renault it all comes together on the rear axel that’s why so expensive! I’m hoping someone on here may have one somewhere or knows where I can find one.. it’s the o/s rear stub axel with abs sensor

Ah ok thanks, well I went to a HiQ garage as it was on my way home, they said go to Renault for it! Maybe they not that familiar with 197s
