    I understand what your saying. Ive just looked at both the Valeo and the LUK pressure plates and they are very different. LUK one certainly appears more substantial in places especially towards the outside where the two parts are joined together.

    If LUK clutches are just Valeo in an LUK box why do the LUK ones have different pressure plates to the Valeo ones? @CallyTeee has just put an LUK in his and reckons the pressure plate is made a lot better than on the Valeo. Im more confused than ever if your right.

    I ordered an LUK from ECP and they also sent a Valeo. They tried telling me it was an LUK in a Valeo box and they are all made by the same company.............. I walked out. Idiots.

    Mainly track use. Mine failed at Snetterton on the same day as Martins.

    Yes all standard. Been quoted £93 for an LUK so only a bit more than the Valeo.

    Really dont know what to do now. Stick with the Valeo ive just bought and hope for the best or return it for an LUK.

    This is concerning, especially as i have a Valeo waiting to go into mine next week. Surely this has to be rare considering the amount of members on here who have used Valeo replacements with no issues or have Valeo changed the type of pressure plate they use?

    I was in a 172 Cup. Was gutted as it was my first time at Snetterton and loved it, well the two sessions i managed to squeeze in!! Think ive seen your car at Bedford a few times. I assume the clutch in it is original but i have gone for a Valeo as replacement. Being fitted by Beaniesport next week.

    Clutch Release Bearing?

    Cant select any gears while engine is running but can when its off. If i select the gear with engine off and clutch down then pull away it drives fine but then difficult to select further gears without rev matching. Would this be the release bearing not releasing properly?

    Id like to know how to diagnose this properly with live data so I know whether the stat is at fault rather than the coolant temp sensor and vica versa? Throwing parts at it guessing the fault is a waste of time and money.

    When my 172 is up to temperature im sure it used to be exactly on the halfway mark and never move. At the moment it sits on the notch below half and will only go up to half way when i accelerate hard. Is this normal or do i have a lazy stat? Not sure if its just a clio quirk.

    Clio 172 fuel injectors

    When my injector went i had no engine lights on, just a misfire. Why not let the engine run and unplug the wiring to each injector one at a time. The one that doesnt make the engine run worse than it is at the mo will be the culprit. Very easy to do also.

    Look in the boot at the back of the latch. At the bottom there is a tab you can lift up with a flat screwdriver which will then open the boot. Problem solved!!

    I need a new Cat to Cat Back Exhaust Gasket, I know its a 63mm one I need but as its for a larger bore stainless exhaust Eurocarparts computer just gives the part number for a standard one which Im assuming will be a smaller diameter. They cant just go out back and show me a selection FFS...

    Your thinking of the cat to manifold joint. The one im talking about is a simple two bolts with a gasket between. Do you know what type of washers if any are on there?
