I did know something was wrong but just didnt know what.
I am pleased that it made you laugh, it is quite a funny vid to watch and had most of us in the paddock laughing when watching it back with a beer or two after including myself.
Haha yeah, easy thing to do. On my race civic the tank sits lower and just didnt think to check so it was completely my mistake.
Some people said that i am crazy for taking any more bends after spinning but i was more frustrated tbh, when a car does something that you cannot control it can be...
Yeah, was fitting fuel lines in a rush as the series made it that you must have a sampler in line for them or you cant race and when adding clamps to hold the fuel line, drilled through.
Wont do that again! Unfortunately i didn't know until too late. We patched the holes for the race and as if...
Yes, it was indeed me.
Having looked over all of the comments (believe me there were a lot) from some people who's opinion i probably should listen to and many people's opinions that mean nothing as they haven't a clue, it got me thinking... Should I have gone in before the time that i did...
What I believe to be true is that the atb from quaife is helical much like the standard open one meaning if you have a wheel off of the floor (driven wheel) it doesn't fully lock whereas a plated one will. Happy to be advised differently by someone that knows more.
I am looking for a diff for my 172 cup race car myself and have spoke to a few people about it including gripper.
Seems that if it a road car that is tracked then the option is the quaife as its a lot cheaper and is more of a fit and forget unit.

For the series that i run in i now need to add a dry break into my fuel line and i know that its quite easy to do with a braided hose and threaded AN fittings but i wanted to know if any of you have replaced the line to AN and braided and what connectors you used to connect on to the fuel pump...
Danny, do you know if there are differences in the engines/bolt ons around the engine? I know that the alternator setup is different but not sure what else is
Is there a list of all changes that were made between the 172 cup and a non cup edition?
I want to know which parts are interchangeable so i can get some spares for my race car.
Thanks.

Hi All,
I have a Clio 172 cup that needs a new gearbox.
Is the cup gearbox to a normal 172 gearbox of the same year?
I believe the one that's in the car is a 172 cup gearbox JC5-129.
Also, how do you confirm the code, is it stamped somewhere?
Thanks
James
Hi All,
I have just bought a Clio 172 sport for racing this season and wondered which wheel/tyre combo i should run.
On my current race car which has less torque and horsepower i run 15 inch wheels with R888 and Uniroyal Rain sport's
The Clio came with 16" turinis and 15" team dynamics 1.2...
