I run Recaro Speeds in my 182 Trophy. The support is MUCH better than the original Trendlines but the seat backs still fold forward for decent rear access. Best bit was being able to use the original subframes (just a few holes needed drilling).

I recently had a ported/flowed head and matched inlets done by Max @MS Custom. The service was spot on and he kept me updated throughout the work and provided a great compilation of photos too. It was all completed on a parts exchange basis, which worked well.
The workmanship was first class...
Mine was recently re-mapped by Paul @RS Tuning following a whole range of upgrades. It had the Fatty kit on there during the tuning and I've subsequently swapped to the BMC when it popped up on the forum classifieds. I prefer the sound and, so far, I've not been aware of a change in performance...
Simplest way to get a bit more 'growl' is to drill some holes in the lower half of the OE airbox on the right side as you look at the engine. Add an ITG/K&N/Pipercross panel filter for a few 'claimed' BHP (not convinced but they do sound good!).
The Fatty setup, and variants thereof, is...
Will definitely take a look!
Another forum member has confirmed that the Trophy seat mount and sliders will accept any of the Recaro supplied base mount seats without modification. I'm going to have a look at the Speed seat next, as a friend has them and they're supremely...
Thanks for the feedback, that's really helpful.
Mine's a Trophy with the standard Trendlines but I don't like the driving position much and find it difficult to rest my head back on the seat back. Will keep looking at options...

Currently £660 for a pair from sportseats4u (GSM) including sliders and direct fitment base mounts. They've just reduced the prices to do a price-match with a competitor [emoji106]

Just wondering whether anyone has any experience with the Sparco R100 reclining bucket seat, either in a Mk2 Clio or something else? They look to offer a good compromise between support, comfort, price and practicality. Sparco also do direct fitment frames/sliders for the Mk2 Clio.
Comparisons...
Two options I think:
1. 172 Cup alternator and belt setup (not sure if any other bracket/pulleys are needed)
2. PMS A/C delete kit:

As the OP knows, I've recently fitted a ported/flowed head, Catcams 421s, matched inlets and had a custom map from Paul @RSTuning.
The engine made a very strong 193bhp with peak torque of 165lbft and a good spread of torque of 150+lbft between 4-6.5k rpm.
It drives superbly but I suspect the...
MS Custom Engineering in Frome just did mine. Seem to have a good reputation and lots of people use their service. You can find them on FB.

Absolutely! Which is why all of the parts are still packaged up and sealed in the box. They were cleaned before being delivered.

Max @MS Custom Engineering in Frome, Somerset. He's the chap that does the matched inlets etc.
Parts arrived back with me yesterday and being installed next weekend.

I'll very shortly be fitting a flowed/ported head, matched inlets and Catcams 438s to my 182.
I've not found any definitive guides to bedding in the cams themselves (20mins at 2-3k rpm has been suggested, to avoid the higher wear potential at idle) and also to 'running in' the newly machined...
That could be the issue then @bloke! It's a spare TB, so I could use the seal off the current one if it comes back from flowing/painting with any damage.

Really struggling to track down the part number for the seal that sits in the deep groove on the throttle body to inlet mounting face. Partsouq doesn't seem to be throwing up any results.
Will be re-fitting the throttle body and matched inlets soon, so hoping to get a fresh seal in there.
Can...
I recently purchased a used set of OZ Superturismo wheels but they came without centre caps. The hole in the wheel centre appears to be 56mm diameter but I'm struggling to find suitable replacements (most are 60mm).
Has anyone found a source for these?

This is true.
Thought it would be interesting to try them anyway but IMO they're more suited to a track biased car.
They obviously use the thin turret top, whereas the standard rubber items sit lower down in the turret body.

So, for those that are interested, this issue has now been properly diagnosed and resolved!
It turns out that the combination of freshly refurbished Trophy Sachs dampers and Pure Motorsport solid top mounts was just too STIFF, resulting in the noise associated with normal (very slight) axial...
Still struggling with this. I've managed to replicate the noise on the stationary car by manually rocking the engine (holding onto the inlet manifold) from side to side quite hard. All of the engine mounts are new and/or uprated poly items, so the whole car moves!
The noise is coming from high...
I did mine too (Powerflex purple) when putting new rear shocks/springs on and a refurbished rear beam. Can't say I've noticed any difference but the rubber items weren't in great shape when I removed them so happy to have swapped in fresh items.
Recently fitted freshly refurbished (BG Motorsport) original front Sachs dampers onto my Trophy, along with new PMS solid top mounts and new Cooksport springs. The car had already been fitted with new wishbones, lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rods and a full compliment of poly bushes.
Just...
Thanks for the input. I can confirm that the part nos. in Post #1 are for LHD models, the part nos. in Post #2 are the black surround non-xenon lights fitted up to 2004 and the part nos. in Post #3 are the grey surround non-xenon lights fitted to 2005 cars including the Trophy.
Can anyone confirm whether the following Trophy headlights are for RHD or LHD cars. These were previously listed on the Renault Parts Direct website but are no longer there unfortunately. I've heard that they may be for LHD cars?
