I went for the cheap Titan SDS in the end. £70 and came with SDS bits as well.
I'm hoping to go Milwaukee for impacts. I should get them at cost through work but I'm not sure if that includes tools (or if there is even much of a mark up on tools).
Great. I saw that Skoda picture and I seem to pretty close to it's recommendations.
While on the subject. Has anyone experimented with support pillows? I'm thinking some lumbar support may assist, I quickly read a aper and it seemed to indicate that increased lumbar support led to more comfort...
When dealing with fixed bucket seats, what are recommended settings for tilting the bucket seats.
Having them perfectly level feels weird and like I'm too upright. I then tried them slightly tilted back which felt better.
When looking at OEM cars the back rest seem pretty angled back along...
This Dewalt seems very cheap to say it comes with two 4 amp hour batteries and charger.

Anything else worth considering up to £200?
Thanks for the help.
Sorry it's 3 plastered walls and 1 plasterboard wall. Yeah I thought about getting a cheap corded drill but I also need a combi and impact so thought get sorted with the battery and charger with the SDS and then buy the other bodies later.
I am getting more into DIY now I own a crappy old...
One more question before I go look at DeWalt, Makita and Milwaukee deals.
Will the battery SDS drills be ok chiseling a lot of plaster board off? Or is this something only a rotary should do.
I've got 4 walls to do.
Are the Dewalt and Makita batteries universal between all their tools? (SDS, combi, angle grinders, lights, impacts etc).
The reason I'm leaning towards the Ryobi is due to the universal battery (I need to get all new tools now I don't have a compressor so want it as universal as possible) but...
I need an SDS hammer drill for some house projects and I also want an impact gun for car stuff. I've been tempted to start investing in battery powered tools instead of having to use an extension lead all the time.
So my question is, what brands should I be looking at that makes automotive and...
Consistent 40 mpg over a tank. That's taking it steady on the motorway (60 mph speed limits in force) and then having a bit of fun on the NSL lanes. The mpg calculator was indicating 49 today so I might get better than 40 mpg this tank. Really impressed with the 172 for fuel economy.
I've used cheap oil as a flush before on an engine that had been in storage. The fresh oil I put in after retained its golden colour for quite a lot longer than I previously experienced with the engine predecessor. I have also used an engine flush on an old cheap car and it just seemed to make...
What do you think of it compared to the ep3? I was stuck between the ep3 and 172 cup. Went with the cup in the end as I found a nice example so never even got to test drive the ep3.
I've only driven it briefly as I'm waiting to swap my insurance over. I drove it back to back with a Gaz gold equipped car and they felt similar.
I know the spring rates are 6 kg/mm front and 9kg/mm rear (equivalent to 4.5 kg/mm due to being in the factory location) so fairly stiff but not...
Thanks.
Bizarre that they have put expensive AST springs on cheap dampers (while fitting other expensive parts like new brembo brakes, white line ARB and ad08r tyres)
I guess they ran out of money ?
Going forwards do you think I should look at replacing the dampers with something better and...
Hi guys,
The shock bodies are black, the springs have AST printed on them (well the rears do).
So has someone put AST springs on vmaxx bodies and had them powder coated black?
I don't mind AP too much, rather them than racelands (please don't say they are racelands ?)
I'll need to see how good they once I've got some miles on them otherwise I'll look at swapping them at some point.
Just bought a car and I knew they had coilovers but I can't work out what brand they are.
I'll pop a wheel off shortly but can anyone identify from this picture?
The springs are AST but the dampers look nothing like anything on AST's website. The top mounts are standard and I can't see any...
Great to hear!
I once drove to work a few times in my kit car and that wasn't so bad. Looks like I'll manage in my Clio then (partially caged and bucketed).
I've got a mix of motorway and b road, I don't work 9-5 though so I miss most of the traffic barring a crash.
Hey,
I'm new here. I've really wanted a Clio 1*2 for a few years now as a fun car. However I needed to get a car for a 50 mile commute to my new job. Instead of buying a sensible daily and getting the Clio at a later date I just decided to get the Clio now and get something sensible in a year...
