After looking its the knock sensor thats snapped off was barley being held on by anythibg. Not sure if it would cause the limp mode problems

Found this cable snapped. Barley even connected. Will see if changing it sorts anything

hmm out of curiosity how much would you charge to diagnose and possibly fix. have you got a ruff figure ? really cba spending a fortune again, car was only meant to be a cheap run around for a few month ?

Im just concerned about plugging it in and getting told to replace the pedal or throttle body again. 3 different garages have had it plugged in and have all said the same thing which haunt sorted it. Just a waste of my cash, im just abit hesitant about doing it for a 4th time

Nothing to bond it back on its flush. i have a new dipstick arriving tomorrow more concerned about getting the remaining bit out without taking the sump off

No he didnt look at fuel trims. It has a throttle pedometer code which is useless, 02 sensor and air con code due to needing a regass. I have a feeling it may be a fueling issue due to the way it takes a while to pickup

Noticed the car as giving low oil warning and as i went to check the oil i noticed oil on the block due to the tube snapping off somehow. The issue is still there going into limp mode and the hesitation is still there. I give up now probably just going to sell the car cheap with the fault cant be bothered throwing any more money at it now.

Give the connectors a clean before. Not sure how corroded they usually get but i give it a spray with wd40 and used a small screwdriver and tissue to wipe the connectors down. Will see if it goes into limp mode on my way to work tonite

Ino ! And was no missfire it just goes into limp mode now and again. Turning it off and on cures it. Going to order a new throttle pedal next month and hope it cures it. Dont want to keep soending £££ on it as it techincally should be up for sale in march april

Issue is still there. No where near as bad as it was though still goes into limp mode occasionally. Will be ordering a new throttle pedal this week at some point along with new shocks and a few bits and bobs to sort some niggly bits out. Atlest i can wind the window up now :)

Small update. Car hasn't gone into limp mode since friday. 2 days of stress free driving. Not going to say its fixed for a few more days yet as i have seen people who have had similar issues and has come back after a few days or a week but fingers crossed. On to the next issue now the drivers...

yea its getting there. not cut out once today so far compared to it cutting out well over 20-30 times on a short trip so hopefully it stays this way. Couple more upgrades next month and it will be a fairly good example again considering its mileage

Got the car into the garage today. Had my brakes, engine mount , tracking and gearbox oil replaced Car drives much better now and the pedal is firm. Will be alot better after i put some miles on the new brakes. There is alot more vibration now from the polybushed engine mount but its bearable...
