Hi, I have recently replaced the PS pump on the 172 and I cannot get the union on the high pressure pipe that goes into the pump to seal. Is there something obvious I'm missing like I just need a new O ring or there should be 2 instead of 1? This is the union I'm talking about: Thanks in advance.

The ECU would throw up a code for knock detection. I'm running a poly gearbox mount and dogbone. The knock sensor was new 6 months ago. I think if it was vibration based it would do it under part throttle at high revs as well.

I've been chasing an issue with my engine juddering at WOT. I've managed to do some logging and can see that the ECU is pulling timing at WOT. It does this at all revs. Log below. Red is throttle position and green timing advance. Does anyone know what may be causing this? Cheers.

I've got the proper NGK plugs, HAAS coilpack and ECP leads. I'll get some Renault ones and see if this helps.

Yep, it isn't throwing any codes at all. I don't get any warning lights, just the misfire.

Well the alternator has just gone today so I'm hoping that once it's fixed it sorts it out.

Finally got both the mounts installed. It has eliminated all movement of the engine under no load and seems to have helped with the response of the car. There is now much more whine being transmitted through to the cabin from the gearbox and also A LOT of vibrations. I've only done 10 miles...

Finished pouring the engine mount and now just waiting for it to cure, I think it turned out better than the gearbox mount. Hopefully they'll make a big improvment once finally on the car!

Hi, i went to look bat at 2002 172 today and it had a squeak coming from the engine bay when the key was in the on position (without the engine started), it sounded like something rotating. The noise went away as soon as the engine was started. Any ideas on what it might be? Cheers, bbrooks.
