    172 Cup badges

Thread bump but RenaultParts Direct are now showing these as out of stock.... I found someone on eBay selling genuine badges for £30 each. This is the THIRD time I've had to replace mine now because one of the numbers fell off when I knocked it with my wash-mitt when cleaning the car. They are...

Good seat covers for a 172 Cup

UPDATE: I bought these and found them a really bad fit. The bottom doesn’t wrap around the base of the seat properly and the material is thin so I sent them back. I have bought these for double the price and they fit much better plus have a more durable material...

Good seat covers for a 172 Cup

Really? Gold tiger? I prefer the Cow design better :p Guess a standard set from Halfords or eBay will have to suffice!

    Gloucester(shire) (old) spots

The owner of this Clio 200 is an older gentleman who lives in Maisemore. He also owns an E46 M3 and an old left-handed rally car! I parked next to him in Tesco once in my 172 CUP and luckily he was walking back to his car just as I was parking up so we had a chat. The Clio 200 is his daily.

Dashboard Removal Guide for Clio Mk2 ?

I think you can buy the slats/individual bits separately instead of replacing a whole vent. For me, a couple of my slats had pulled out from attaching a phone mount + weight of my iPhone. They weren’t actually broken, I just needed to put them back in which is a really fiddly job lining it all...

Dashboard Removal Guide for Clio Mk2 ?

I only needed to fit new plastic slats in the air vents and by removing the top dash, this exposed the air vents.

Dashboard Removal Guide for Clio Mk2 ?

Thread revival but the guide posted here was perfectly helpful for accessing the centre air vents in ordered to replace a broken vent slat. Many thanks!

Clio 172 Cup Windscreen replacement- Mystery solved!

Hi all, To provide some help and guidance out there to owners who need to replace their 172 CUP windscreen, I have just been through this process (due to a crack) and it is not straight forward in terms of making sure the right one is fitted. If you provide your registration and chassis...

    Steering Wheel Refurbishment

Alcantara and £180 all in. Considering these wheels cost anywhere from £200-350 depending on condition, I thought it was worth doing and now looks brand new.

    Steering Wheel Refurbishment

I had my RS Sabelt wheel refurbished by Royal Steering Wheels and I’m just a happy customer. Such a transformation as it was completely worn! After:

    Turning over but won't start

To update this, I called my RAC in the end. Problem solved... he found a dodgy relay connection in the engine fuse box. He pulled it out, cleaned the connectors and the engine started first time.... all good now

    Turning over but won't start

Just tried that, loads of fuel spurting out when turning the key. This is a nightmare.... everything appears to be working but still won't start unless for some reason the new crank sensor is dodgy. Think I'm gonna have to get the garage involved.

    Turning over but won't start

Update. I cleaned the original crank shaft sensor and it made no difference. I ordered a new crank shaft sensor and fitted that.... no difference. Can someone explain to a novice the best way of checking for spark and fuel?

    Turning over but won't start

Sorry, it's turning over but not starting. The plus and leads were done a couple months ago. Could it be the fuel pump maybe? Video of it here:

    Turning over but won't start

Hi all, Just tried my car today and it won't start (it struggled last week too). The battery is strong as it's trying to turn over but it's not starting. I assume the the starter motor needs replacing? It had new spark plugs and ignition leads last month. Thoughts?

    New 172 Cup Owner! Hello!

This is exactly how I felt. It just felt fragile to drive but I was glad to tick it off my list. I don't regret selling mine as the running costs and expense ruined the experience for me. All the other notable cars I've owned haven't cost me anything other than the usual servicable items etc.

    New 172 Cup Owner! Hello!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Not a huge amount to say other than it had an addicting noise but it just felt really fragile to drive. Bit of a heavy car but it had some great mods to improve it's handling such as coilovers and the Q2 LSD. The big repair bill (£4k on engine) tainted my...

    New 172 Cup Owner! Hello!

Hello everyone, I'm really excited to be posting on here. I purchased a 172 Cup from @BaileyWolves at the weekend after wanting a nice one for ages. I already love the car and can see why they have such a good following. Driveway picture A few previously owned cars: BMW 540i Touring (4.4L...
