I've got a 182 FF that has the automatic intermittent setting on the wipers. It didn't work well. Reading round I thought I'd be able to put a stalk with manual on the intermittent setting. So bought a second hand one, installed it, but it doesn't work right. Anyone else tried the swap and did...
My MAP sensor died so I replaced it with an old one for now, planning to buy a new one asap. But prices range from about £7 up to over £50. Can anyone recommend a decent make, don't want to be a cheap skate but do expensive ones work better or last longer???
What are the pros and cons of 205 55's versus 195 45's? I've got 205's on 16" wheels at the moment, no big problems just wondering if there's any benefit to changing. Cheers.
I've got an update list stereo in now with the display on the stereo not the dash board. The yellow block won't fit into the back even though there is a connection that looks like it should. Do you think I need an update list without an LCD display on the front?
Yeah, bit of a hike that! I'll hang on for a bit, see if anyone else comes up with any ideas. Might get back in touch later though if that's ok. Out of interest, is the stereo in good condition and how much would you want for it?
Does anyone know how you figure out which type of stereo came with the car originally? When I bought mine a year ago it had an update list head unit with the display on the stereo not the dashboard, and the stalk controls don't work and no where to connect them on the stereo. So I figure I need...
Thanks, let me know how much you want and where you are and I'll get back in touch after the MoT. If there's no major work to be done then I'll get the suspension sorted. Cheers, Steve.
Hangers are looking very perished but I've been under the car and given the exhaust a good shake and it doesn't look like it can hit the sub frame just from moving up and down. Also it doesn't sound like metal on metal, sometimes I do get a metal on metal sound when pulling away at low revs...
JB21, I was thinking of the OE dampers, there's a used set on ebay with springs for £125 that I might get for the time being see if that helps, save spending £350 on new suspension and eibach spring. What you think?
Thanks Zach, getting different opinions off different people, might end up doing both. Probably going back to standard suspension, hope this might help a bit.
I've just bought a 182 cup with v-maxx coilovers, fronts seem ok but rear passenger side is squeaky and banging when you go over even small bumps. They where fitted 4 years and 30k miles ago, can't see from the paper work if the bushes where done too. Does this sound more like a bushes issue...
