cheers mate ,thats what ive been trying to do with what u said regarding the mounts,using same methord.
ur 1.2 would have been a bit easier though coz its smaller this is like trying to fit one of jordans tits into a pint glass.

bassically took old engine out every thing fine there.changed loom over and now dropping back in but i just cant get it to fall into place to where the mounts go its a complete pain in the ass im gunna give it another go tommoro please any advice or tips on how to drop in nice and easy.

i had this also took me 1yr to sort out!
could be loads of things
iscv
tps
leads
dizzy cap
lambda sensor
a sensor out
mine in the end was an injector
and wiring loom fault
best bet though clean is iscv 1st
also one last thing it poss could be the speedo earth as this piggy backs...

but the engines already out the car so cant be to bad.compaired to working whilst its in the car.
cam belt kit from gsf tensioners and belts is about 65 quid which aint to bad i know i need a pin and gauge and ill give it a shot

basically engine broike on me every thing siezed and locked up brought new engine to drop straight in.am i correct in saying to do it this way
1st remove exhaust
2nd remove drive shafts
3rd remove plumbing
4th remove electricals
5th remove mounts
6the craine out
7th swap loom over on...
just brought a clio 16v engine to drop into my car but as its out i thought i might as well change belt tensioners etc etc
any handy hints or special tools?
