They're good, it's just that there is better still. Tyre technology evolves. Zv7 were always a very good mid-range UHP tyres but there were also more high-end options and they have been around since 2017.
To be fair to you i can barely tell the difference between tyres on the road unless...
The conti PremiumContact 6 seems to be the newest, best road focused tyre available in 205/45 R16. It costs as much as the PS3 on BlackCircles and Tyre Reviews rate it as the sportiest feeling between the PS4, Goodyear F1 AS5 and itself. Link to the review
I'd go with them.
Again apologies for cutting in. Can i get some more advice? It's my first proper accident, I bloody love this little blue turd and want to do ot justice and also not get f***ed over in the process (Pics on the previous page) pretty please
Hope I can steal a part of this thread.
Tuesday 2 weeks ago i had a van drive into my clio's arse. So first of all I'd like your opinion on who will be to take the blame.
It was during my commute to work on a country lane with heavy trafic as it's one of the main roads from A3 to Brooklands &...
Hi Phillip. I have followed your advice. Drenched a rag and a small block of wood in solvant, placed in the middle of the mount and set on fire to burn out whatever rubber I wasn't able to cut out. The remains scraped off nicely with a wire-brush. I have washed the soap off the insert and...
Hey there. My 172 was absolutely terrible with kangarooing.
Holding the gearstick I could feel the engine move backwards and forwards every time I'd put my foot down or took it off the gas. Fitted powerflex dogbone mount inserts - it improved lots.
Then I took it in for belts and dephaser (in...
You know how it is: jacks collapsing and other such storries can't happen to me, they only happen to random people on the internet. I'm careful and I know what I'm doing. Surely it will be fine... ;) Now being serious I live in a flat in London, keep the car on a common parking in front of the...
Time limit to edit the comment expired so I'll post it here:
Hi there. So I fitted mine to my 172 yesterday.
The parcel arrived on Friday and apart from the mount I got a little riddle when I've seen the "Dolphin Friendly" logo showing through the tape. My girlfriend bet on some sort of...
I think it does not work perfectly due to a screen replacement my Clio has had, but in general it works. However, the wheel that adjusts the sensitivity doesn't seem to affect it at all, and the click feels very vague.
My dad's 2006 BMW E60 has a similar setup, but changing the sensitivity in...
Hi there. I don't think the automatic-wiper sensitivity switch on the wiper stalk does anything on my car. In every setting it's about the same. Also the button itself feels very loose and turns very freely compared to other switches on both stalks (eg. fog lights). There is no distinct click to...
Thanks @RichValver Sadly i had to stop before I started as the bolts that hold the bumper inside the wheel arches are just spinning in place. Also the one on the right was replaced with a bolt and nut, and bunch of stuff at the bottom is held by cable-ties rather the bolts and the engine...
Hi there. I'll be replacing my AC condenser tomorrow with a salvage one from one of the forum members.
I've never done this so I'd like to get some tips regarding disconnecting and reconnecting the hoses correctly without messing them up or creating leaks.
It looks like the connectors just...
That's possible, as I believe the car was serviced by a previous owner at a local butcher-shop rather than at a proper garage. If this is the problem, that's not the end of the world, as my dephaser and belts need doing anyway, so I'll have it looked at soon. If anyone has seen or has a...
While I'm here I'm going to plug my "problem". It's not really a big deal but still annoying in traffic, so living in London, it happens quite a lot.
Mine is lumpy/jumpy on very low revs (below 1500) on low gears, especially 1st, when transitioning between minimal throttle and no throttle at...
Yep upon further inspection they're trash. 1 light clips popped off but the high beam broke off the silver bit where its bolted onto it. The second light has a broken adjustor and one of the clips holding the silver to the body. I feel bad for the guy who sold them. :S
Hi there. Just bought a set of mk2 xenon headlights and they both broke in transport. The silver part inside that holds both bulbs is wobbling about. One xenon adjuster popped out, the other one broke. Are there other clips holding the assembly in place besides just the adjusters? If so can i...
Nope, I haven't. The MOT technician said it's bent. The alignment is clearly off though. The front left, where the shock is allegedly bent has more camber than the right and while driving straight the steering wheel is off about 5 degrees to the left. The car drives pretty normally (but again I...
Cheers everyone. Thanks to you I'm starting to get a good idea of what to do.
I'm looking to do it on the cheap, as there are other things the car needs, I've bought it for £680 and I'm an Automotive Engineering Graduate only looking for the first job. The car looks nice, Interior is mint (2...
