Uploaded to the CSF gallery along with a bunch of others. Got (atleast) one of each other car that was on track at the time before I started to melt in the sun and went to try and find some shade... which is hard on an old airfield 😂
Link is https://photography.calamita.uk and the password is...
Black EP3? I do have some of that
I do have some of Max too.
Just got back home from what feels like the Sahara outside so I'll sort through some now 👍🏻
On the MOT Trackdays Facebook group I believe. Not sure if they've been posted yet though. I don't do FB much :D
Sadly I didn't :( Wasn't on track whilst I was sat there I don't think.
Edit: Ohhh hold on... pics from the Sunday are up... did CSF have it's own dedicated photographer for the...
Here's a few of mine...! I didn't take too many and whilst at trackside late afternoon, track was pretty empty! (same 5 or so cars :D )
This thing was beautiful!
A few from trackside...
I got a few more on track so if you want me to take a look through them to see if I got...
Was a great weekend even if if was a last minute decision when added to my plans!
I did my usual introverted self thing and didn't speak to too many people but was great to see everyone having a good time.
Would have loved to have made it more of an evening too but I had the track day booked...
All packed and ready!
Off to north Lincolnshire today/tomorrow morning but will be with you filthy lot in the afternoon/evening.
I don't know anyone on here at all and I'm not sure I will want to after this weekend  but Ill be turning up in this if anyone wants to say hi...
Sadly...
I was going to try and make it a bit earlier Saturday afternoon, not long after lunch, but after reading the last few pages and catching up... I'm not sure what I'm in for with this bunch of reprobates...
Genuinley looking forward to it though! Just hope I can wake up on time for sign-on Sunday...
I don't nope. I'm away from Friday til Saturday night elsewhere otherwise I'd be coming all weekend.
Just had the Sunday booked before I realised it was CSF.
I thought Friday night was the main night 😂
Do I need a weekend ticket just to camp at Blyton the sat night?
Is anyone camping the Saturday night too?
I've got the Sunday trackday booked. Had it booked before I even owned the Clio and sadly it won't be ready so I'll be in the Mazda.
Hoping I can turn up Saturday evening and just camp like I have before!
Was going to attack this last night but it was a nice day/evening so I went out for a ride on the motorbike instead 😂
This leads to tonight...
I picked up the induction heater from a mate...
and made it hot...
Sadly all this did was bend the end as I couldn't really get a good swing on...
Thanks. Makes sense!
I like things to match too... so if they're different or the wrong way round on one side, then I'd have to swap it 😂
Just ordered a new set of Eibach camber bolts too!
The nut came off easily. The camber bolt shaft has swollen in the hub. The other side was the same, just nowhere near as bad... but yeah... it's tight! Hoping heat will help it.
Thanks! I need to keep checking the torque setting guide 😉
As in, from right to left, nut on the left, bolt head on...
So after bedding in the new discs and pads, I thought I'd get it on axle stands and whip the front coilovers off to give them a good once over as when I was doing the brakes, they'd look like they'd been on a while... That was the plan anyway...
OSF went ok actually. I'll let the pictures do...
Nothing really exciting in the past week or so... Just been driving it when I can and enjoying it!
I did fit some new front discs and pads as I noticed the inside if the disc was mostly corroded whilst I was underneath the car fitting the shifter.
Just fitted some Jurid discs and pads for now...
So... I've bought a Renualt... Something I'd never thought I'd do...
I did my lessons and test in a Clio Campus 13 years ago so I guess it was only natural I ended up with one eventually.
I've stuck to VW's and Jap stuff mainly throughout the last 13 years (I'll not bore you with the history!)...
Was looking at this the other day (only just recently joined with the purchase of a 182) and then noticed I have a trackday booked on the Sunday (17th!)
I'll most likely be in the MX5 as I don't think I'll have the Clio anywhere near ready but is anyone hanging around for the trackday on the...
Just had a great read of this!
Amazing to see your improvements.
I've just bought a 182 to make into a slightly more serious track car (than my supercharged MX5) and hopefully enter some of the Javelin sprints this year, although looking like next year now, but should give me some seat time...
Probably because people think trackday's are a cheap way into driving fast/motorsport/racing etc. so always end up cheaping out on things or having "scruffy" cars to justify it being a cheap thing.
Which it can be for some! but doesn't mean the cars should be battered or abused. I mean... none...
Thanks for the welcomes!
Yeah, it's a pretty decent "fast road" spec and as a FWD car... it's impressed me round the corners for sure!
I've also got a roll centre correction kit that was thrown in with the car. It was fitted but then removed as I believe one of the spherical bearings is...
Hi all,
Thought I'd do a quick introduction...
Currently have a supercharged mk2 MX5 that I use for track and road use but I didn't want to ruin the MX5 with more harsh suspension, engine mountings or anything else. I feel it's about finished!
However, I can't really ruin a Clio when they...
