Yeah did this yesterday too on my old 2G and had to reinstate firmware and re jailbrake after advertising it as a jailbroken and unlocked phone. Cant believe I got £192 - Only cost me £150 brand new a few years back.

Thanks guys So a reset in settings should do the job without having to restore in iTunes which I'd imagine removes the jailbreak and the unlock?

Whats the best way to ensure no personal information or other data is left on the phone? Anything I need to specifically do other than remove contact information? Cheers

I don't know what's wrong with it yet - Got a leak and this whine that changes when clutch dipped. Assume it might be a rebuild job but depends on what's found. How much is rebuild all in?

Did you get this done mate? Just trying to get an idea of costs myself. Best quote so far is £300 plus VAT to get the box in and out. Obviously depending on whats wrong costs will go onto this - ie any rebuild cost.
