A mate of mines bought a silver 172 a few months ago, turns out a member on here (who hasn't logged on since 11/2010) Donz 144 used to own it.
I see from a few of his old threads that he had a lot of work done to it, but there was chat about him returning it to standard in order to sell.
Does...
I won't see him again for a couple of weeks, but will try arrange a pic.
I've had a search on some pics and a few I have seen have the same paint, others don't.
I assume that this may be factory? and not scrap.
A mate of mines who owns a 2003 172 is having a bit of a panic.
He hasn't had the car very long, and dragged me outside yesterday and popped his bonnet asking me if I thought anything looked a bit strange.
I couldn't see anything until he pointed out little dabs of blue paint over a lot of...
Back in the day of my Mk1 Fiesta, if you gave the starter motor a whack it would sort it and the car would start. Not sure if this is still applicable to modern day cars but worth a shot to see if the starter is the problem.
The heater is not blowing in a mate's 172 (2004, 53 plate). We fired over to Cowdenbeath last night as a bloke was breaking a 53 plate 172 cup, but the resistor module thing he pulled out looked nothing like the one that came out of my mates car.
This is the one out of my mates car which...
Can anybody advise me how to remove the door card from a MK3 Clio?
The door won't open from the inside and with the MOT looming I really have to get this looked at.
Thanks in advance.
Sounds like a dodgy earth to me. It shouldn't be anything to do with the remote wire. The remote wire tells the amp when to switch on with the stereo. If the earth is dodgy, when the remote wire is plugged back in, it switches the amp back on, if a dodgy earth, the protect light will come...
2006 MK3 Clio
On saturday night I got out the car, locked it with the remote, went into the chinese, came back out and heard a strange whirring noise from the drivers door when I unlocked it with the remote.
Got in the car, drove home, and couldn't get back out the car as the inside handle...
The guy is offering to stick a years MOT on it, I'm guessing headlights alignment would fail if it was twisted somehow?
It's got xenons, and the wings look original. Bumper has been painted though as there are no black stickers.
Went to look at a 172 tonight. The front wings were really tight to the front doors. There was virtually no gap at all. Is this normal or could it indicate a front end repair
Yeah, it was the ignition live fuse that had popped (in the fuse box under the steering column)
What had happened is due to the extremely cold temperatures we had, the stereo couldn't cope and something inside shut off. I've been told that my Clio has a UK spec stereo which is unable to...
I used to work for a valeting company who done engine jetwashing. The customer had to sign a disclaimer though, to prevent any claim for damage due to water. It was then up to them if they wanted to go ahead. One thing though, we were told NEVER to wash the engine of any French car...
Yesterday my stereo wouldn't switch on, so after checking the fuse (this was fine) I pulled the stereo out. Stuck a test light on the red live, but accidently touched the metal case of the stereo and it sparked. Then the clock and outside temp display went off. Checked the fuse again (both...
Personally this car confirms everything I hate about modifications. From the bodykit, to the wheels, to the lights, to the stickers, I could go on all day.
That said, it's your car, and if you like it then fair play to you. Each to their own.
