im also wanting to know if there is a front splitter availble for the clio mk1? if not does anyone know if a splitter from a different car can be butchered to fit?
stacey! you are borocruisers! i frequent that website all the time as "X".
i too have a clio mk1. havent done much yet(only had the car about 2 months and im in the process of buying a house!!!), 15 tsw volcanos, lowered 40mm front and back, sub, 6x9s. once the house is purchased though i will...
would this also be the process for bump strips? im thinking of painting mine black - so i dont have to use bloody wax/silicone whatever based spray to clean the stock bump strips.
amen to that, mines only a 1.2 also! but i love it, people at work always tell me - oh what the point of modding if it cant do more than 80mph? why? because i want to take pride in the way my car looks and look after it.
agreed though, i said before Max is turning jap, MORE EUROS PLEASE...
its not to my taste really, but i can appreciate it. i have to say i really do think the angel eye lights look superb though, very supra-ish looking.
the thing with max power these days is there is so much more competition than 5 years ago. Hydraulics on their feature car are starting to...
wa hey! i fitted it meself, well chuffed. thanks for the advice dave, much appreciated.
my gormmet had a plastic piece so i drilled that and put the grommet i got with the kit on it - sweet proper job, feed wiring through each sides (plastic interior and earthed to the middle seat belt...
hate to say, if the light is green and the subs are still not working they might be screwed...got to a local ice store theyll be able to check this out for you...
cool thanks guys. its a mark1 clio.
so in my speak (sorry) Phonos down drivers side, remote, power leads going down passenger side?
i was really worried about the grommet thing as like i said ive heard horror stories of cars catching fire if its done wrong and the only reason i can think...
hi, i first must apologise if this has been posted before, if it has show me the link - i cant get on with all this search buggery!
i want my sub in my car. i know how to do it apart from the running of the power lead from battery to amp. is there a grommet in place already in which i can feed...
by the gearstick there is a red light that keeps flashing. im guessing is this an immobilizer? my clio is a mark1 1.2 p reg clio - no remote locking or anything! please help cus i just want to know what it is.
WHAT!!!! I like mk1s i think Mk2s were the worst looking clio. Erm, have you seen the K-Tec Clio1?????
mark 3, then mark 1 then mark 2. i just think mark 2s look boring. i like the angular aggressivness of the mark1.
that example here dont look bad i suppose, it really does need lowering...
yes i used the righ amount of hardener.
ive heard you shouldnt use hammerite on front calipers, is this true...? apparently it cant cope with the temparatures?

hey, i painted me drum and calipers yesterday to get rid of unsightly rust. the drum are fine, they look absolutly fantastic, i did them blu and the blue hammerite i used pretty much matches factory colour! dead chuffed, and they are real smooth.
my problem is the calipers, i painted them...
i was quoted £106 all in fully, carpeted and speaker holes cut into the baffler so that its ready as soon as i got it.
it is expensive but you get a perfect fit and they make the top of it look exactly like a standard parcel shelf.
its pricey but its properly made and no one bloody know...
anyone got one of these? anyone recommend them etc? they lok pretty plush and i bet the do allow the speakers to fully kick. thinking about getting one thats all.
right then guys, ordered some nice new alloys!
got me some TSW Volcanos - 15s. ordered from Demon Tweeks. offset of 40 so they should go on without any probs (heres hoping!)
ill post pics when i get them on and once ive had the car lowered.
thanks for the advice people.
hi all, personnally with 6k id dtry and hunt down a used clio v6 or at least put it down as deposit for one.
but, each to their own, if this guy wants to kit his car out so be it, leave him alone - why the need for sl*gging off. i personally aint into the whole bodykit thing but i wont say...
Patty what have you got your car lowered? full susp or springs? if so which springs have you got? and how long did it take for the person to lower your torsion beam?
usual roundabout incident. old guy in a honda crv goes to join the roundabout, stop suddenly and i back into him! i loved that Coupe though it was sweet whilst it lasted. i had that iced, lowered on 17s - i go for subtlety - no bodykits or neons
lesson learned. Anyway got me a tidy lil clio...
