That little clip we found that had snapped, that was the problem, all they have to do is put another one back on and add grease I think, dont think they not even going to charge me as they are going to do the rears, lines and take the stickers off the front pads at the same time, the new brakes...

I didnt have an 18mm socket, my kit only went up to 17mm... so fell at the first hurdle really. The axle...
As above where is the bleed nipple, on each individial line, and do your need the whole car off the floor to bleed the brakes.
I.e.
1. Jack up whole car (removing wheels)
2. Drain fluid, (how do you drain the fluid? Where from?)
3. Replace hoses, easy enough.
4. Bleed system (got a one...
I am in the middle of doing it now, I dont have a handle for the torx thingy and I cant get the bloody calipers off, they are on sooooo tight!! I dont have an 18mm spanner in two sets of spanners i have and the adjustable one wont grip enough, I dont suppose you have either a torx screw or 18mm...
Well Im goig to halford so whatever they have i'm buying, how may litres do i need for a 172 Ph1 to replace the fluid, it's prob in the manual isnt it!

Daz - Ill have a crack with the rears first thing in the morning and see how I get on, bit worried about the lines.
Can i do all this work with the standard jack, i.e. one wheel at a time??

Rears have got bearings and abs rings on, bought them as a package so no probs there.

Doing rear discs this weekend with greenstuff pads, then off to garage for carbon fronts with hoses + mintex.
I ve been told that because they are used very little that is one of the reasons they go early, lack of use can be worse than over use me thinks, for corrosion issues that is...
what about the whole missing screw/bolt issues, would you be able to replace those??

Renault seem to have maybe successfully diagnosed my knocking noise!!
As per the photos you can see where the upper engine mount has worn away, and you can lift it up from the top like a big flap of rubber... Broken me thinks!!
Also as you can see from the photos there are some screws...
turns out its not the drive shaft, doh! But the engine is in wonkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the upper drivers side mount needs replacing, that'll give you a knock :-0
