JUST COME BACK FROM UNDER THE CAR, there is no difference in the noise coming from the engine, when it is in gear, i can spin the wheels with engine running and a gear engaged, and they just spin, if the box had selected a gear the wheels would not turn as they lock the wheels, so it is not...

This morning on the way to work i lost all gears, with the engine running normally, i can select all gears with or with out the clutch pedel pressed and the car goes no where, i have checked under the car for leaks etc, and found nothing, there was no sign of clutch wear as in slipping etc...

not sure of the sizes but you can get a set of 4 from renault they cost £2.50, i had to get new for mine as the heads had been rounded off, the rear bolt are longer than the front ones.

my 172 alarm also sometimes beeps 3 times when i lock it, i went to renault and they said i am locking it to soon after the ignition being turned off which turns the interior sensors off, in case you want to leave your windows down or a passenger inside, but if you wait about 30 seconds after...

i bought one of those splitters for my 172, when it arrived it was snapped in half, damaged in the post but when i put it up against the car car it was completely misshaped and would not have fitted anyway, but the guy was nice enough to refund my money, so beware,

i still want to keep the 6 cd shuttle, what stereos are compatable with it , it is a renault alpine unit, also would like to keep the contrls by the steering wheel

hi, i have a clio 172 mk2, with single cd and 6 cd changer, does any one know if this system has preouts on the back, to run an amp, as i wish to upgrade speakers,amp and box, but don't really want to change the stereo. cheers
