Could having a CAF running from the fog to airbox cause running problems without the correct map on the car? I was wondering if maybe there is more air to fuel ratio which could be causing the mixture to run more lean. Is it possible or should the ecu correct the increased air flow??

Anyone heard of a steering rack for the 172 with the etching K & E on the underside?? i dont have a sticker label, probably come off ages ago but have only 2 etchings. I know the normal ones are SMI and TRW and another 2 others but have no idea which one mine is????

i think its broken inside the insulation so theres no way of me knowing where its broken unless i just cut it and guess and i dont want to cut it in the wrong place. Its tricky to know where to cut it

and where will i get one of those plugs from without buying a whole new loom??

i did think about that but how will i know where the break actually is??

Hey, Think i've found the problem thats been annoying me for about a year but needed some advice about how to fix it. I think the air flow sensor on the inlet (not the map one) has a break in the wire at the loom end. If i move the wire about the car will drive s**t from the sensor not...

yeh mine was the same, £42 with 3 year warranty. amazing how different the car feels with a new battery. Any ideas on what your CCA's are on the batt jenic?

tried that, been charging more or less all night but still nothing, can't even lock the car without the charger on :(

thats just it i can't even start it. the xenons wont turn on neither, just flicker then go off. gonna try voltmeter tomorrow but had a new battery a couple of years back

i have this exact same problem today also. thing is i've driven my car a few times today but now it bearly opens the central locking. thing is rstuner says i have 13v coming from my batt but nothing when i turn the key?!?! :S

Hey all, When i touch coilpack ht lead 3 at the back when the cars running i get a shock from it. Is this normal or is my lead knackered? Been having some running problems, slight hesitation when driving at around 2000rpm. Any ideas?

Ok after testing to see if the 172 was running lean and not getting anywhere i now suspect maybe the lambda sensors need changing. I think the rear might be ok so won't need to be changed but going to change the front to see if it changes anything. Are the sensors the same front & rear? Found...
