Another one saved coop doesn't do anything for our oddy values!! I'm on the hunt for an iceberg but I have a stage itch for a mk2 for some reason!
I have a feeling you might treat this to one more mot!
dont be so hard on yourself JOhn! looks great and in my fav colour - despite owning an Ody! I am just about to get back into the swing of ownership this summer, where's all the meets and gatherings for us lot in Scotland?
wheel looks great, as does rest of car. I am dying to unveil my little project to you all.......not long now! KNockhill on the 4th? Any links to whats going on? I might try and get up there.
Roger the sill rot...I'll be sure to check it out. Car is pretty clean having spent most of its life indoors. I am going to plumb for Bilsteins and drop it accordingly (30mm?) and add some HC spacers - 20mm I think although I gather 25 works on Ph1 - must begin to upset steering input a little...
HA! GReat stuff, send him my best. We used to hook up quite a lot when I stayed in Glasgow. WHat's he behind the wheel of these days?! Dare I ask?
Pics above now sorted....bloody photobucket has become a sh*t free hosting site!
I hope not! WHo knows it might make a few quid in the future! There were 116 Odyssey's originally I gather....
I might just do that if time permits. I like the idea of getting her show ready!
That's right! DOes he still venture here?
Glasgow Gaz? Had a blue 172 Cup...famously rented a VW...

Thanks guys! What...more Impreza?? What's happened here!! Ill dig em out if I must but those (long) days are behind me! I can export my build threads from Scottish scoobies if you like? The wagon was reasonable famous given its build and finish.
Super excited about the Ph1, there is certainly...
Hi folks! Well after just over 10 years of owning other metal I am just about back behind the wheel of a Clio again! Like lots of memories the ones we harbour for our early cars can often be recalled through rose tinted specs! I was 22 when I sold my ph1 1.2 MTV edition and jumped behind the...
You really have stayed true to the hot hatch! Good to see you successfully cycled for so long too! I’m a cyclist (I own a bike shop) but equally a petrol head - a real juxtaposition!
I jumped into Subaru’s!! Then BMW’s !! Now back to RS (as 2nd car/ investment )
I pick up next week hopefully...
I’m also an oldie about to return behind the wheel of an RS (I’ll save my thread for post collection with pics!) she looks great. What cars have you been through since your valver that have led back to a Clio?!
Blue 197 Broxburn roundabout 9 am this morning. Looked like big exhaust and I assume one or two other mods. Did well considering I'm pushing 400 hp in the impreza!
Anyone know this car??
Ha, great thread. I've not posted for a LONG time but I look in occasionally and often think of Clio ownership again (I had a tussle with one today from Broxburn roundabout in Perth in the Scooby). I quite fancy a caged track Clio!
I began in a W reg 1.2 MTV.
Then the mk2 172 (205 bhp)...
HA HA, if I knew I was going to be missed so much I would never have left!!
I have been on a journey!! I have now returned to Glasgow for a short time and I saw my first 200 cup at a BP garage!! I had to talk to the guy!!
I just started my own Snowboard school out in Switzerland having been...
Met you at the BP station today! Greg I think you said your name was.
Anyway, if you want any more info about Clio up grades etc I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
I'd also love a ride in your new machine!! Hope your drive was enjoyed today
Donnie
I hit my increased limiter at 8000rpm in 5th doing 160 in Switzerland....I sort of miss my Clio some times. You don't need to get anywhere near the limiter in the Scooby to get best results.
CHeers for comments guys. I met the guy tonight and agreed on £3,150......had to be done. Car has done 1500 miles in 12 months...its just not getting used and I have a WRX to use when I am in the country.
Exchange takes place tomorrow. I sold iot as standard too..........with all the gdi...
3 k is mad I know....I have however bought a prodrive WRX Impreza!! Still I would like to get some more money from the Clio.....considering all the love she´s had!
SO after years of threatening to sell her I have finally decided to do it. I have had it advertised for ages and had lots of interest but always decided not to sell it!!
So I have just taken an offer of 3000 on it from a guy in Glasgow. 51k and full GDI treatment not to mention all the other...
Is there a nation wide dent removal service? Where should I be going up in Scotland? Edinburgh glasgow area. Im about to sell the Clio and there are a few wee ones id like to have removed.
dont do it mate...just not worth it whick ever way you look at it. If you love the clio range than go for the 197 cup other wise do what Justin said and spend some money on your clio and turn it into what you want...I did and I love it! I came close to getting the Trophy once!
