Use a pencil eraser. I found that anything else looked like it removed the residue, but all it did was cover it up and you could see it again in a few days.
I am wondering if the vent surround (the piece that is silver in 172s) comes out seperately from the rest of the dashboard. I don't want to try prying it off with a screwdriver because it looks to me as if it doesn't.
As you may have guessed, I want to paint it silver. So will I just have to...
I was emptying the ashtray in my car of assorted bits of rubbish, when I dropped the thing and the spring flew off! I have been trying for the last 30mins and I can't figure out how the spring went, so if someone could do me a big favour and take a picture of one with the spring fitted, that...
It's fairly easy, you can get a great finish usually so long as you put plenty of time into preparing them. The end quality will only be as good as the prep before paint.
You should keep them blue. I really like the contrast second time I looked at the pic.
I noticed you have a Honda Beat... what is it like? My brother loves the sound of Beats, although I have never seen one, he has been trying to find a Mugen tuned one, but I dont think he will. How does it handle?
I used a product called Rain Racer. It's a bit of effort to put on, but it will last 1500 miles. It was two stage, one was the "burnishing gel" which intensively cleaned the glass, then the actual product. You have to rub very hard when applying it, that's why it's tough work.
I wasn't that impressed with them either, as I expected them to be totally silver. However, the difference between Silvervisions and stock is night and day!
Even better! I didn't notice the G60 markings (even the plate :P), just the GTI ones. Is it yours? My parents used to own a maroon Corrado G60, however the supercharger failed. Coincedentally, a Storm was being sold in the nearby dealer so they sold the G60 for a VR6 which is currently in storage.
I have seen someone do that... it was a red celica; when I saw it I was like oo a CF bonnet, but upon close inspection, it was just black. Shoddy work.
Also something to consider; the MB temperature readings are not always accurate. Sometimes they can be out by a long shot. See if there are new BIOS flashes for your mother board, they usually fix that kind of thing if there was a problem.
I know, they are quite steep.
If you have a Clio where there is a screen at the top telling you all the Radio info, then you need to plug the new cable into that at the back; that's where the stalk actually connects to. It's not that easy, but it isn't that hard either. If you have one without...
Cliobon, PM me if you get it; I am really interested to know what kind of difference it would make to performance/sound on a car that isn't a RS model.
Yes, it is. You need a patch cable (sometimes included with interface cable), and the stalk interface cable.

Thieves can bust most steering locks of reasonably quickly, but the Disklok is the strongest available. In an Auto Express test I just read, some locks could be defeated in 3 seconds! The Disklok lasted 117 seconds. A thief won't really want to spend a few minutes when the alarm is blaring.
