If your budget is £500 then you can get a WAY better system than that. Something like this plus a Google Chromecast so you can play from your phone/tablets, then you don't need bluetooth, and you will achieve much better sound quality and more features and flexibility.
If you've already got a monitor lying about and a keyboard/mouse then you could squeeze a half decent pc for £400, and if you could upgrade through time from there that'd be much better than the PS4 route!
Fireworks by Alan D. Key, on Flickr
One from the weekend. I was letting the fireworks off and dodging back to me camera which meant little time for composition but this one came out ok!
As a stop gap you can use the ND Grad filter in Lightroom which can make a great difference to your photos. I use this all the time if I haven't had chance to shoot with my Grad ND, just make sure you're shooting RAW so the detail is still there.
I've had a Huawei Honor 7 for 3 weeks now (after a Nexus 5 then Oneplus One) and absolutely love it! I managed to pick it up in the flash sale for £209 which was a stupid price but even at the normal £249 I'd say it's a bargain.
It's quick, has one of the best and fastest fingerprint sensors...
I really wish I was more interested in this. Microsoft phones do have the potential to be fantastic since many of us use Microsoft on our Pcs but I just can't ever see them getting the mobile market right.
The Surface Pro will be interesting, this things are beasts!
Phones are getting to the stage now where we're almost upgrading for the sake of it! So many good phones out nowadays though, it's a case of take your pick and enjoy!
The camera is much better than what I've tried before (OPO, nexus, etc) but I've never compared iPhone and Samsung cameras so I can't comment on them, but it's seriously impressive.
Let's be honest the best thing about companies such as Huawei and Oneplus, it's all driving down the cost of...
Cool. That sounds really good. Makes me regret threading a 20m HDMI cable through walls and under floorboards to connected my pc upstairs to my living room TV! Haha
Everything from what though? Because Google allows me to stream everything from my phone/tablet with cast screen, or so you mean xbox's, pcs and stuff?
Seeing the specs of those made me really pleased with my Huawei Honor 7 purchase, I thought I might regret it on seeing the Nexus 5x release, but I'm happy with that!
Ah sorry I thought you were just saying they were crap lol.
Yeah it looks similar to a HTC definitely, I just thought sod it for £209 I can buy it and if I don't like it just chop it in again but actually it's really quite a nice phone!
The Honor 7? It's not been out a month. You might be thinking of older versions or lesser models.
It's worth mentioning the spec of this phone:
Quad-core CPU - 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53
3GB RAM
5.2" 1080p IPS screen
16GB with expandable memory
Dual Sim (if not using...
I've been without a smartphone for 10 days now after smashing my OPO and it's been driving me mad, so yesterday I decided to order an Honor 7 in their Huawei flash sale @ £209.99.
I took delivery of it an hour ago and so far I'm really impressed with the quality for the price. I would say...
I wasn't aware of this! Has this changed? I'm sure that wasn't the case a couple of years back but I could be wrong. Makes me want to look at that as a solution again.
I agree with Charl, Office 365 (and Google Drive, etc) aren't really what you would call a backup service. They're more of a syncing service.
For example if you edit a word document, delete everything and press save then it syncs, there's no way you can find the previous version in the cloud...
Well. I got hold of another router, and the problem is half solved. Now all that happens is it is still redirecting to /defaultsite but it is actually on the correct site now (it just says defaultsite not found on the site which is correct) so now I can browse around the site, but I can't get on...
Only at home (but I haven't tried another router to be fair).
I don't know if it's happening to anyone else (I think it's related to sky broadband somehow) but no one that I know of has mentioned it happening yet.
This has to be related to it. The domain itself is with 1and1 and it's pointed at Squarespace's DNS and CNAME, but what I'm seeing at my home address seems to be from 1and1; /defaultsite I believe is 1and1's default website address when you build a site with them, and the old 'coming soon' page...
You don't need a pair, just one! :)
I didn't mean to sound patronising when explaining, because many people (even IT tech's) have never used wireless extenders before and don't realise how useful they can be for just sending data when wiring isn't an option.
4 days later and it's still happening. On my desktop it brings up a blank white screen with the address www.burstwick.golf/defaultsite (this isn't a page I've made) and on my tablet and phone it shows a 'coming soon' image from about 3 years ago from when I made our last website!
So just to confirm then, the reason is to put the router in the middle of the house so that wifi gets to every room? Just plug a wireless extender where you had planned to put the router, done! The wireless extender will receive the signal from the router, then amplify it again so that rooms...
