Had this system fitted the back end of last month. Top quality system that went on like a dream according to the fitter. Most of the time you'd not know there's an after market system on. Subtle growl as pull away on a light pedal and once you're up to speed and hold it not really any louder...
There's a decent clip on YouTube of a 172 with the stainless K-Tec system being set away down a country lane and it does sound good but too loud for me. It's obviously down to individual tastes but a really loud exhaust on my car would not be a good look for me, I'm too old!!!
After the weekend of pottering about with the new system fitted I’ve found the following. The car seems to idle smoother than it did before. When driving on light throttle there is very little noise difference from the standard tot, you wouldn’t really know it has a different exhaust on. When...
Just had this exhaust fitted today. Ordered the exhaust on the phone last thing on Thursday and it arrived Monday as promised. First impressions are good. Very little difference from the standard Renault tot on idle and a subtle growl as you pull away, which was exactly what I was after. Haven't...
Hello,
New exhaust needed and I'm stuck in the usual delimma new standard or stainless steel kit. From what I've read on here the KTEC stealth gets a good name but there are conflicting opinions on how loud the system is. I not after a really loud system and was wondering if there's...
Hello. After a recent £800 rebuild following the timing belt pulley snapping at speed , my funds are a bit limited. I'm therefore going to have to settle for a remap and possibly a panel filter for the time being. After wading through the many ecu threads on here everyone seems to rate RS Tuning...
Hello,
I remember a post about a buzzing noise in the glovebox that was linked to to the climate control. The replies told how to fix the prob, it involved replacing a part that was situated in the interior light housing and gave the part number. Unfortunately I didn't write down the part no...
From what's been said it doesn't sound too bad if the dealer will do the service and the plugs for £280. As I said I think I'll change the car before the next service is due so hopefully there will be no need to go anywhere near the dealer! Thanks for all the advice.
I didn't ask what the plug costs. I'd just been charged a very "reasonable" £55 for the diagnostic so was more that a bit stunned to be quoted a further £110 to have the plugs replaced. I'm just thinking that if they'll do them with the service for £280 then when it comes time to change which...
Thank you for the info, sorry for my delayed reply my pc has gone west. Do you think then it's worth just getting the the plugs done as part of the service so as to keep my FSH going? It should then be another two years before the car has to go back to the Dealer.
Hello, I'm new to the site and this is my first post. My 2002 172 has a misfire so I took her into Reg Vardys at Durham. I bought the car from there and the servicing, prior to me buying, has been done there. The misfire was diagnosed as a dodgy plug and I was quoted £110 to replace the set as...
