I'd rather have a Phase 1 than a VTS, infact I think I'd rather stick a 2.0 in my Corsa than have a VTS lol... maybe a mint phase one could be an option with a new steering wheel haha. But long term ownership, *I* would be happier with the phase 2 interior. A VTS/GTI would be a bit too...

Definitely a good buy, looks exactly like what I want! A nice standard car :D All I'd do to my own over time is eibach springs and a cat back exhaust for a nice subtle sound :) Really like that car, lucky buy indeed :D

:D On youtube, theres a 0-100mph of a cup, looks rather rapid for basic mods... all the others look a bit slower (or they're poor vids) Basically will a healthy phase 1 crack 100mph in around 17 seconds still? lol

Not bumpers mate just back lights and colour coding the rubbing strips/door handles, nothing more, not swapping bumpers if I have one :) Maybe I'll keep looking at the phase 1 :D All I wanna do is 40mm eibach springs and an exhaust system really :)

I won't XE my car I doubt... mostly cuz it's red, I hate the colour. Looks pink most of the time haha, but it's a tidy car :) I'm not really very good @ practical stuff so I'd have to pay someone reputable to convert it, so may aswell just buy a new car. I like 172's as they're meant to...

The seats are sound it's the plastics which look shite in the ph1 lol... but the stupid tax costs of the phase 2 put me off it really! :(

Yeah I've still got my Corsa, still refuses to break, only downside to it as such is 30mpg round town driving like a girl lol.

Don't know loads about these but been hearing that road tax is like 35 quid a year for them?!?! I'm getting annoyed at my petrol bills for a not especially quick car, tax is expensive considering it's performance and I just fancy a change.. Something as quick for a hell of a lot less running...
