I run lower than normal tyre pressures on my 1.2 which gives me noticably better grip since they are the width of ice skates anyway. My steering sometimes goes light for no reason what-so-ever, and you just have to break gently and allow it to grip again.

I havent up til now, but I will from now on cause I get problems getting it into 1st.. and 3rd... and reverse... and out of second. Infact I imagine wrestling a bear to be easier than using my car atm. Ho hum :$

It basically stiffens the car. Instead of the chassis flexing in corners and over bumps it reinforces it by bracing between the two suspension struts. It also makes the suspension work more effectively (supposibly), and reduces body roll into corners when you turn in hard. But without a rear...
