as ChrisR says, with elephant, admiral etc even if you have a totally non-fault accident and a full recovery of their costs is made, it WILL increase your premium as it increases your 'risk factor'. It really is the biggest fcuking con ever.

Hi, just wondering if anybody is around 20 on this site that has a Mk2 172 (the 'newer' shape like 182) and how much are you paying for insurance?
What are the running costs of 172's like?
Are they reliable?
What insurance group?
I probably wont even look into getting one til at least...
used to see that clio 182 in the advert driving around...guy lives not too far from me. In the flesh the colour is bloody outstanding!
