Not sure if this is the right place to put it, seemed the most likely though.
Earlier somebody clipped against my wing mirror and only damaged the outer shell. I thought this was a bit of a godsend but all the parts suppliers want to sell me the full thing with electric motors, heating and all...
On the way back from Beaconsfield, spotted a Black Gold 182 (05 reg, can't remember the rest of it now, think it started with BA05), a mighty blue V6 (awesome registration as well V6 CTX I think it was) and in Farnham Common on the way back, there's a rather nice Trophy parked outside the...
Bought it, £5.02 - fairly reasonable and Renault Slough weren't as incompetent as they have been in the past, so kudos to them for completing a particularly unchallenging task.
If anybody else needs the part number, I can post it up but as edde says, they had a lot in.
Ok, well going on these replies, which replacement filter would you recommend. A standard one is £5 but if a replacement can give me a bit of extra noise (but not too much), maybe a bit more responsiveness and last forever then it's probably worth the extra £25.
Don't care about performance...
I know it isn't a Clio and isn't technically about detailing yet but I thought it'd be most relevant here as I'm considering a PC polisher and along with my car, might go over my parents car (which I think we're selling this year finally) so they can pay for a bit of the initial cost.
Think...
Had a look in the car today. Both were labelled w5w despite the manual and the haynes guide saying otherwise. No idea if they're the same bulb because the main left one was closed off but both were labelled w5w nevertheless.
Price is definitely a concern because I'm just 17 but by that same domain, I want something that will keep me on the road when I push the car. I can't modify the car and I don't really want to, but because of that, a decent set of tyres are pretty important in getting out what performance the...
Oops, meant 5w and 7w above. I'll go and check them first before doing anything anyway. Would a 10w bulb be a good compromise between light and heat or would the light it gives off not be too awesome?
Also, would that festoon lamp fit or would you need a smaller model? I'll go and measure...
Going to have to buy some new tyres for the car fairly soon. The car was running 185/55/r15 Cooper tyres when I bought it. Not entirely sure how brilliant they are, can't find anything on them really bar their 4x4 range so I'm assuming the previous owner bought them on a budget. (EDIT: They're...
Possibly a topic already on this but the search just isn't working whatsoever for me today so sorry if it has already been covered.
Anyway, the interior lights (the ones by the rear view mirror) in the car are really pathetic and I was wondering if it's possible to replace them and if so what...
Surely the insurance is crippling you by adding mods though. A modified 1.2 won't get anywhere near the same quotes as a standard one, wouldn't be surprised if they were that far off quotes for a 172.
My insurance is ridiculous as it is at 17 and I'm not allowed to touch my car modification wise.
Thanks for the welcomes guys. Probably will stick silvervisions on eventually, want to upgrade the normal bulbs and I might do the indicators as well then, depends nearer the time.
So yeah, damn lucky to have it now and for the next two years until I go off to uni.
I've been browsing around for a while but I've never managed to find the time to post but here we have it. On study leave at the moment so naturally I decided to spend the best part of a day cleaning the car, pics to follow.
I'm 17 but I've been driving it for at least 3 months now, I got it in...
