Surely the insurance is crippling you by adding mods though. A modified 1.2 won't get anywhere near the same quotes as a standard one, wouldn't be surprised if they were that far off quotes for a 172. My insurance is ridiculous as it is at 17 and I'm not allowed to touch my car modification wise.
