No, it doesnt misfire, or jerk forward. The garage said it was the gearbox so im guessing that it is..... Any info on the gearbox question up there?

Well what gearboxes will fit, there some on eBay, but none specifically for 1.8 Rsi. Are the ones in the 16v different or the same?

Well the garage have diagnosed it with a broken gear box! Im waiting on them to get back to me now with some prices, any ideas on what sort of prices I should expect. I would imagine not cheap! Cheers

Yey some replys :) Well its getting enough revs thats for sure, because it runs fine when not moving. Its just when I drive it something is grinding, and oil is leaking from underneath the car. Could it be the gearbox, that has oil in it am I correct?

I cant believe that no one knows anything about this....... No replys at all is unusual.

Ok no replies still but I have another update. Moved my car out of my drive so my mum could get her car out and it was making some really bad noises again as i reversed, then when I went to go back forward into the drive the noises were so bad I decided it would be better to push the car back...

Just taken it out for a drive see if I could get any other ideas, and now there is something leaking out underneath the car like dripping down right in the middle. Quite dark, I think it must be oil. Anyone?

Hi, I got a slight leak on my sunroof I think. Im guessing the water comes in though the sunroof somewhere and then collects in the housing of my interior light, until I excellerate fast, or go round a roundabout quite quick, then it all pours out onto the passenger :) Anyone else experianced...

Morning all, I just got my new manifold for my 1995 Mk1 Clio Rsi. Has anyone ever fitted on of these themselves? I would rather do it myself than take it to a garage. I looked at the Haynes manual, which marks it as 2 out of 5 spanners for diffculty. So you would think quite an easy task, but...

Hey all, Im in need of a new exhaust system, and thought rather than replacing a stock one with a new stock on I would get a sports system. I have been looking at some stuff from K-Tec, but have never bought anything from then before. This is the de-cat and cat back system I am looking at...

Fixed, the imobaliser in the glovebox was locked lol. Locked it yeterday while the battery was charging because i didnt know what it was, now I do though lol. Thanks for all the help.....

The coil pack is the part that has the center ht lead connected to it isnt it? How can I check if the imobaliser is stuck on?

Ok well would the engine still turn over if the imobaliser was stuck on? I thought that if the imobaliser was stuck on then it wouldnt even turn over.......... The red light goes out, after I turn the key to the point where it should start, it says on all the time with just the igintion on...

Rev counter wont move until it starts though will it? Also how can i test if the coil is working is there some form of test i can do on it? Cheers for all the help

Tried some of the above stuff with no luck still. This is a picture of the dashboard when i turn the ignition on, what does the circled red light mean? Also took the spark plugs out, and plugged it onto one of the HT leads, turned the engine over but no sparks! What could this mean? 1 -...

Hey all, This morning my mum went to move my car out of the drive and it wouldnt even turn over (flat battery) so i had the b**ch on charge all day and now it just turns over and over and over and over and over and you get the point. It seems like its not sparking, what should my next steps...

Lol funny you should say that, it was broken but a new one has just been fitted. The garage got f**king grease everywhere and didnt even clean it up!
