Hey guys
Looking to get a 172 cup when i turn 19 in April next year. Was wondering what your quotes have been like? Job will be able to cover the cost's easy was just wondering what the quotes could be for me?
Also if not a 172 cup are there many 172's in Black knocking around?
Many thanks...
Seconded Fli is a terrible make really poor sound quality for the money they charge.
Pioneer and Alpine have a much more extensive range, look at maybe some Alpine type-r componants also these

I have a just a Clio 1.4 and have got a Triple Sub box with 3 Diamond 12" subs, The box itself is made of Chipboard with lots of sound proofing inside it. Its perfectly fine i think just make sure you secure it.
Everyone has a self preference to a Headunit. Its what you want that counts my best advice would be to ask around your mates with what they have, have a listen to them ( obviously they're setups will all be different ) but see what you think.
Speakers if your not looking to spend mega amounts...
Agreed.
I've got a friend with a VTS thats Throttlebodied its running around 180bhp and off the line beats cars with 250bhp. I wouldnt mind it i tell you that now
I belong to a car club www.essexracers.com ( may sound Chavy but have some very respectable people on there )
I also just got my new job who owns www.trackdays.co.uk so i will be doing plenty more Trackdays.
BACK ON SUBJECT
If i did get a 172 i would be driving even more watchful and...
Not sure on the difference between the two will have to make some phone calls to find out. Either car would only be pushed hard on a trackday where i can do it without risk of any other road users.
Yes a Turbo, i know i hear alot about them being a bit of a bugger, and being off the road more than being on the road.
But i have a friend with his own Workshop, willing to do the work if i source the parts, Free of charge.
As to being able to handle the POWER im sure i can, dont you worry :)
At the moment im just driving a 1.4 clio and its £1600 TPFT with Quinn Direct but i will not be using them again ( No Irish intended )
I thought i could go under my dads policy with Directline? he has 35 years no claims so surely that would knock alot off? I would get the policy protected aswel.
I've found a few nice 172's from about £4000 - £6000 which is what im willing to spend. What would your estimate on the insurance be? I have the option of going onto my dads policy with his 35years no claims and i would get it protected.
Dont need to save for a house have been given the choice...
