    my mates done this a couple of times before not starting due to flat battery, so maybe check the battery as low power might be resetting it.

    no its definitely coming from somewhere in the engine bay, thing is i put the front up on axle stands and the noise didnt happen when the front was off the ground... its not really on full lock either, just before. only thing i could think of would be the steering rack, but it should still...
