Does anybody use a water de-mineriser when washing their car. An inline one that connects to the hose pipe. If so are they worth it? as i live in a hard water area and it always leaves streaks when washing the car.
Any recommended ones would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

I have removed my rear brake calipers for overhaul and refitted them but cannot get them to stop leaking when pressuring them up from the hose. Can anyone shed some light on what i am doing wrong! I have tried tightening them as tight i can. Do the flare fittings seal again once split?
Thanks, Mark
I have found that the brake bias adjuster clip has broken off due to the arm seizing. Can someone help me out please by telling me the part number for the clip. The renault guys can't seem to understand the picture.
See attachments.
The hole seen on the bracket from the rear axel is where it...
the flare is a renault part. Is it not the flare that seals onto the bottom face. The threads looks a little bit corroded but i thought that it was the face that was important to seal it. I tightened it past the point of resistance first then a bit tighter till very tight and it still leaked..
I have just fitted some overhauled rear clalipers. When i fitted the brake line fitting and primed the system it leaked through the threads. I replaced the brake fitting and it still leaks..
I checked the face of where it seals and it looks clean. It just won't seal? I tried to fit it three...
i have found a company on the internet to repair the rear calipers as a pair. Bigred.co.uk £139 to overhaul and powder coat and renew all seals pistons etc.

I have had my car in the garage over winter and have not driven it for some time.
I went in the garage after the cold spell and there is brake fluid all over the garage floor. It appears the seals has failed on the onbe of the rear brake caliper and dumped it all over the floor.
I can't...
