Just found out the alternator is seemingly dud, 12.43v standstill, running drops to 11.92v rather than the expected 13.5-14v... god knows how that's died from just sitting there but hey.

Agreed can deffinately be touched up for chips, go your local paint supplies place and have them make you a stick up, at worst theyll have mix a normal colour and put matting agent in

Deffinatly a colour that needs blending into original if new panels and on smaller stuff like strips etc, only real trick to 'help' is to spray the panels in same orientation as theyre gonna sit, ie get a big sheet of wood and screw a line of screws into it horizontally and then clip screw heads...

If buying a tidy panel and just wanting it preped and painted by a bodyshop, not bared, primed and then painted, then stay away from reds and pinks/purples like the plague unless a red car and stick to silvers and light blues, always provide a good base and can be easily thin primed, with red...

If you think a decent paint job cant be done for less than 2k then your either so far away from the painting scene or worked for HOK for the last 5 years
