Yea, he did have his own RSTuner, but no lappie. Hence my "help" was needed. We did disconnect the batter for ~10min, but that didn't help. We'll see tomorrow if we can get it force-reflashed by a dealership.

AFAIK if your car is modified, you should opt for the custom map option. Will cost you a bit extra, but that way the map will take into account the extra stuff that you have bolted on.

I had this same problem on my 197, until I figured it out. I had omitted the part of the "getting started" where it says to insert the keycard to the keycard slot prior to trying to connect with RSTuner. After that it worked like a charm. I'm still waiting for the calibration file for my RS...

Due to the fact that all the users seem to be pleased with this product and that the support by Hank seems to work through this forum as well, I have as of today pulled the trigger for an normal RSTuner :) I do hope that I won't be disappointed.
