Not slammed but it is on sportlines currently running 45's on 16" wheels, so I figured that if I dropped an inch in wheel size I could go up 25mm in tyre profile, but I'm guessing it doesn't work like that?
I ordered one from skoda the other day and have just been left a message to say they have it in stock. What I need to know is can I pick it up on the way home from work on my motorbike or is it to big?
Just left the wiring in the doors cable tied out of the way. I used winder handles from a renault 5 as I couldn't find any from a Clio, I'm pretty sure you can use the handles from any Renault, probably most cars actually.
Is the bonnet easy to do? I had a search but could only find someone who has done a mk1 bonnet. Don't really wanna wreck my bonnet and I don't think doing the doors are a good idea without a cage.
My cup is fully stripped and I love it, never fails to bring a smile to my face when I jump in it at the wkend. It literally only has two bimarco seats and the dash left in it, is there anything else I can lose for the sake of a few more kilos?
I went and picked up a similar set from screw fix, was hard work getting enough force behind the socket to make it grip but I got there in the end, aching this morning. Thanks for everyones suggestions, now I need to source new nuts and bolts, north west performance seem to be the cheapest, is...
There is not a chance of getting the grinder in there and I'm not really sure how succesfull using a drill on a nut is likely to be. Does anyone know where I can get one of those sockets with the reverse thread in? An actual shop.
As if changing the decat on a 172 wasn't enough of a ball ache, I've manged to round off both the nuts. My mot is due in a week, Any suggestions for getting them off would be much appreciated.
Really? The front strut brace bolts to the strut towers and plenty of people rave about how good they are, surely attaching one to the rear strut towers will have the same affect no?
I'm going to get a front strut brace to stiffen the front so thought it best to stiffen the rear. MX5's come standard with a rear brace and they handle pretty well :rasp:
I want a proper strut brace in the rear of my cup as the OMP one I had did sweet fa. Where abouts on the rear struts should it be welded, right at the top? Will a scaffold pole be upto the job? Would it be safe to attach harnesses to it?
The seats look great, did you spray the whole seat? If so, how did you keep paint from getting onto the cobra logo or was it just the grey bits you painted?
