Yeah that makes sense - appreciate your help! Yes I did come across your posts/other pics of conversions to white LED - but think I would like to keep it how it 'should be' and original as will most likely be looking to sell the car soon rather than modify/upgrade the lights!
Ah bugger - might be more involved than I thought! I think now then may be worth double checking fuses etc first then and then take the dash section out and hopefully maybe even find a loose/corroded connection or a simple fix - if not may be a specialist job to fix!
Hi all,
I have noticed that on my 2005 Clio 182 only half of the dials/clocks on the instrument cluster light up when the lights are on - I suspect the bulb may have gone as I don't think a fuse or similar would cause half to not work - but there seems to be lots of conflicting information on...
Use any type of detergent on a seatbelt with incredible caution. Washing Power is possibly one of the worst things to use!
You have to remember the belt is made of tightly woven synthetic fabric, and of course its potentially what could save your life one day, the use of chemicals/detergents...
Meguiars Smooth Surface Kit comes with 2 100g bars, these can be split into 3 parts. So effectively you get 6 clay bars with the kit.
Whereas, the Meguiars Quik Clay Kit, only comes with 1 100g bar, again this can be split into 3 parts.
My personal technique for claying is:
- Cut a small peice of clay, mould into a shape that is about 5cm x 5cm.
- Spray lube onto both the clay, and the paintwork you are claying, be sure to spray liberally for the first few passes to 'prime' the clay bar.
- Continue, passing over each section...
IMO, much better to go for an APC that has been specifically designed for use in, and around vehicles. MSC's often have harsh chemicals in that are designed to kill bacteria etc, which aren't necessary in an APC, and can often stain plastics. It also works out much more cost effective to go for...
Ideally, use a dedicated wheel sealant such as Poorboys Wheel Sealant. Apply as many coats as you possibly can, i'd recommend around 5 coats to see you through around 12 months. You can apply a coat, buff it off, then apply another, and keep going until your arms fall off with no problems...
Chaps,
Good evening. Have already introduced myself in the Newbie forum, but thought I should go into a little more detail of what I do, and what i'm going to try and contribute to Cliosport.net
As some of you may know, I am a Professional Vehicle Detailer, you may or may not be aware of my...
The best way to debadge is Hair Dryer, and a thin peice of plastic, ideally one that you don't mind being snapped. Best thing to do, is go down to your local supermarket and pick up a handful of mobile phone top up cards. As whatever you use is likely to be damaged/snapped.
After debadging...
Hi Chaps,
Joined up here to try and spread the word of Detailing, and give advice, when and where I can on Detailing/looking after your Clio's!
Some of you may know me from other forums such as Detailing World as '13yearoldetailer' or GazW as on here.
I own www.detailmyride.co.uk, a thriving...
