Rubber mallet is always useful for drive shafts. Ratchet spanners will make removing the steering rack infinitely easier. Impact wrench speeds the job up loads as well

Nope. If you're not doing anything engine related, its pointless having to drain the fluids and remove the engine. Drive shafts out, undo steering rack, subframe off, box out.
