Ive got a golf mk4 gt tdi 150 remapped to 190 bhp as well as the clio and i wouldn t have thought there s much between them in a straight line, the golf has effortless power and is suprisingly good off the mark but the clio is the more fun car to drive!
Just put it through an mot,all it needed was a rear shock as there was a slight leak and the exhaust needs adjusting as there was a slight leak inbetween one of the joins so all in the car has cost me pretty much exactly £3k to get it all fine with the new mot so not to bad really ;)
Asking on a Clio forum you ll obviously get a biased answer!
I ve had 2 Clio 182 s and an EP3,The Civic is a more roomy car being larger as i find the Clio pretty diddy if it s your only car but the ride quality is better for everyday use on the Clio as the EP3 s ride is very harsh! Performance...
A 172 doesn t really stand out or look that boy racerish as standard as they don t look that much different to a 1.2! Only if they are given the maccy d carpark stylin do they attract police attention.Or as mentioned if they are being driven in a fashion that attracts attention.
In my earlier...
No abs is hardly a big deal-if they lock up just loose off the peddle and then reapply, thats all abs does anyway!
I was gonna get a cup but greenlight don t cover them and i couldn t be assed to swop insurance companys as greenlight are pretty competative on price for me!
I was watching quite a few on ebay etc and anything over 60k you might be able to pick up around the 3k mark as i watched a few go around that price so it s not just the odd one.it was my main reason for getting another as when i had the last one around 18 months ago it was worth about double!
I ve just bought a 182 for £2800 - 53 plate with 68k,belts done and full service history HPI clear, just needed two front tyres and only 2 months MOT but 6 months tax!
Drives well and it s in very good condition - so you can get them for 3k or even less!
The Clio 182 i ve just bought has a Milltek cat back system and sounds pretty good as it s got a nice deep burble but only loud if you thrash it,I drove the car 150 mile back at motorway speed and it was not intrusive at all and you wouldn t know it was there until you put your toe down
Yeah i ve got the car and the guy just hadn t read through the service history properly as they were done and all stamped in the book!
Bonus for me- i did have a oil pressure light on but seems to be a sensor as i ve changed it and no light at the minute!
It s in very good condition needed two...
I ve just fetched a Clio 182 and am having the oil pressure light with the stop light come on,it stops on for a while then goes off for a bit then returns?
Oil level fine and the car drives fine etc
After searching for similar problems it seems the oil pressure sensors are quite troublesome on...
looks a nice example,i ve got a fair old trip to fetch it but i thought it was well priced for the condition and mileage. As long as i don t have trouble putting it through an MOT ill be happy with it!
I ve just put a deposit on a 182 FF,67k,4 previous owners,HPI clear, good condition with full service history on a 53 plate 5 months tax but only about 2 months MOT -£2800 :D
It s cheap due to a couple of things - short MOT needs two tyres and no cambelt proof! so i thought it was a reasonable...
In all fairness it seemed to drive fine,it had service history,HPI clear, good tyres and brakes with no creaks or knocks of any kind but did lack proof of cambelt!
There s quite a few 182s around the 3k mark now - they seem to have dropped in value quite a bit recently!
My thinking exactly-Lower mileage doesn t particularly mean best looked after,as i thinking i d prefer a higher mileage car that needs for nothing than a lower mileage car that needs work doing to i!
The 60k one is this the silver one in Birmingham? As i had a look at one today with 60k with a dent in the bonnet-it has also had work done on the drivers door as it doesn t match!
It drove ok but only had part history and no cambelt receipts and had short MOT and no tax so i thought by the time...
I had a 182 a few years ago but changed it as i needed a bigger car and currently have MK4 Golf GT TDI 150.As i don t make much use of it my plan is to let the Mrs have the golf to use and flog her rover and then get my self a Cliosport of some sort! I was really after a 172 Cup but as my...
