Guys,
Two quick questions:
What's the quickest way to drain the power steering fluid?
Also what size is the copper washer for the gearbox oil plug?
Thanks
Guys, need a bit of help with sourcing these...
Front drivers side line from 'holder' to servo is fecked, the nut has rounded & had to cut the brake line to the calliper just to get it disconnected from the calliper! Now I'm left with a damaged line from servo to calliper brake line grrr...

Hi All,
This last months my car has being making a 'squeeling' sound when turning at slow speeds, a lot worse in the cold weather btw, which is progressively getting worse. Took it to a renault mechanic before and he said that they 'do that' in the cold weather, although to be fair to him he...
Oh I know its hygroscopic, was working at the car till 0300 this morning so a bit slow :p
New EBC seems to be getting good reviews & feedback, had DS2500 on the car for the last 3 years so want to try something different!
Ah crap, I convinced air is in the abs system :s
Thought so, only done a partial bleed last night!
Plus left the fluid reservoir open for a few days :s
Was just wondering if air would have gotten into the abs system?
Can't wait to try out these new EBC bluestuff ndx pads....
Guys, jus changed my front calipers, pads, brakes & fluid; only problem now is that my pedal goes stright to the floor when the engine is running & the pedal is predded. Pumping the pedal with the engine off & it doesn't get very hard!
One thing that happened when I was swapping the calipers...
Right, just going to run it E10 that way should be alot cheaper than Super; roughly 110p /L if I fill up accross the border plus still an octane rating of 98/99 ish.
Think this is the same blend as Tescos 99 RON, which also uses ethanol to obtain a higher octane rating!
Is there anything else...
I can get it accross the border for roughly 82p / litre which is only 10 miles from my house so it would be quite a difference compared to 130p / litre + everywhere else!
Was wondering about mixing it 50 / 50 with petrol?
Guy,
Can you run the sports on an 85% ethanol blend ok or do the lines / seals need to be uprated?
Just can get it close for quite cheap and understand it has a far higher octane rating, though less mpg!
Any technical info would be appreciated as well!
Cheers
Long story short;
Replaced brake pads and disks with new EBC Blue NDX Pads and HC Brembos on the front and new Brake Fluid. Followed proper bedding in procedure but noticed that brakes were 'sticking', upon further inspection noticed a hole in the rubber boot of my right caliper and a bit of...

Driving over to silverstone this evening via Stranraer, though Scotland and then on though England. Got a rough plan of the route and got my trusty HTC phone with gps to guide me...
Only thing is, the two other guy who were meant to be going; aren't going now due to a death in the family. So...
in a word yes, but depends on the roads you drive on and how much comfort you want to lose!
For fast country road driving, there superb but throw potholes into the mix or drive too slow and you'll think your buckling your alloys!
