Yeh it ticks, It starts from cold. but struggles to start when it has been running awhile. Say if you do a long blast. Reason for plugs I was thinking if they are not the right ones, if there is to much fuel could they not be getting a spark?
Girlfriend had her cambelt changed on her 1.6 16v 1999 model I think, at the same time they replaced the spark plugs, since then the car hesitates to start after long drives. It ticks but won't turn over.
Spark plugs are due to be changed, is there anything else that it could be? has been...
not to sure how you know? from what I have seen it will sound for about 3 or 4 chirps, go off for a couple of seconds and then chirp again, this will go on for 3 or 4 sessions then go off. Standard clio alarm btw.
What could cause it to keep going off? I told my girlfriend its probably a low battery but does not want to fork out for a new one if not a 100% sure. It has been only recently it has started to happen.
About a month ago she had the cambelt and spark plugs done a shitty garage which I tried...
yes it is mate, not a bad little track for what it is, some really sharp turns you don't expect, and then some that you really need confidence for lol.
Have to say, if your thinking of doing it, do it!. Was very good hosts, got there at 9am, had a briefing and got our numbers. We proceeded to walk the track, and then did a group lap following the instructor.
Once this was complete we were broken up into 3 groups, from what I could see it...
Had duel one, sounded a bit tinny, was a blueflame, went for the blitz as it was a steal at £250 instead of £500. Gives bit more torque and the noise is great.
deffo, the only prob with lowering it is I already catch the front and the flexi section hangs very low on the exhaust. But would give it that extra mean stance is so needs.
Trying to order some 10mm hubcentric spacers to bring the backs out even more.
Just gave it a clean with claybar, autoglym then a coat of tech wax. Not the neatest car but amazing what it can polish up to after the months of neglect lol.
took this at auto sports
MR2 love :)
More jdm sex
I was a German fan boy untill I had a go in an MR2, and decided it was to much fun, and have had 3 in a row, 2 n/a's and a turbo. Next car id love is an RX7 but I don't want to risk buying a lemon.
Thought I would introduce myself, and say thanks for the help people gave me when looking at a car for the gf.
Not a show and shine winner but its nippy and great fun to drive. Pulled 287bhp and last Rolling road day. Got a couple of Sprint days lined up at the end of april and start of may...
deffo the 16v 1.6 I drove compared to the 1.2's i drove is such a difference. I was actually really impressed by it now the water had been cleaned out engine. Very responsive. Might have to use the gf's car more often lol.
Going to service the car for the girlfriend before she takes it away for peace of mind. Fresh oil +filter and spark plugs.
Question is im guessing to use 10w-40 oil and spark plugs any good links to parts?
cambelt not sure yet loads of service stamps but nothing saying it has.if not ill get it done.are the clutch biting points always so high and light on the clios
just went to see the car. all seems straight apart from it felt very sluggish but it felt like when ihad moisture in my dizzy cap. i was told the engine had been cleaned so could explain it. are these engines solid? and what sort of milage do head gaskets go on these? car is on 82k priced at...
Hi, looking for a car for my gf, does anyone have a list of the models and spec's. Was looking at 1.2 grande's for her, but with them feeling like I could run quicker than the car I told her to check the insurance for the bigger engines and all is good to go bigger.
My question is im pretty...
