4 bolts under the bonnet, two down by the skirt. 2 inside the door, and about 3 inside the arch from what i remember and still wont come off. Will take bumper off tomorrow.... easy???

Im in exactly the same situation, in feb when its time to renew im going to look into a 172 over my 1.4. I get bored, the same as most people, and just crave more power. If i can afford even with a few sacrifices im going to go for it. I only get about 35mpg atm cos i drive it pretty hard so...

if you go through Renault, a lot! if you do it yourself, buy a second hand seat (i got one for £30) and get your airbag comp reset; people do it on ebay for £45...

yep not too worried about removing. Guessing once the ecu is out the car isnt drivable? still debating whether it would be cheaper/easier to replace the airbag itself instead of getting 2 new front seats.
