In the meantime, I traded the Clio in for a 2005 Subaru STI and I just fitted an aftermarket steering rack to drop the ratio from 15:1 to 11.5:1. What a transformation!
I've just purchased some 10mm spacers for my 182.
Now I need to get some extended wheel bolts.
Can anyone confirm exactly which bolts I need?
I had a look on ebay but got a bit confused with the various pitches, radiusus and tapers...
Mine already has the self leveling system fitted - it's a 182 FF so has xenons as standard.
If I removed it, how much weight would I save?
It may not be a massive weight saving but it would cost nothing and I can't say I would miss the xenons particularly.
I'm not talking about the light clusters, I knew there is not a great difference there.
However, the xenons also have motors and a self leveling system, I would guess that all weighs a fair bit.

ive just bought a 182 from a Renault dealer and he's offered to fit a brand new oe back box. I want to get money off and put it towards a supersprint so just want to know where I stand...
After three years away from Clios I want to test drive a BG 182 FF last week. Frickin' superb.
I drove there in my BMW 1M and the the Clio felt so much more alive and exciting to drive. Felt bloody fast too!
One concern though: When I came off the throttle abruptly at high RPM in 1st gear...
