I don't go out much - I'll have a drink once in a while but I'm not that into it.
Of course I like socialising but I prefer keeping fit and driving.

I was basically asking how much owners on this forum budget or spend per year on servicing/spare parts.
Looking to either get a Trophy or a 172 Cup with 30-40k mileage
I know about the cambelt needing replaced after 5yr or 70k
Could anybody tell me what else I may need to check for?
I want one in a good condition that I don't need to do much to (brake pads for example, or whatever)

Differences between 182 trophy and 172 cup? I could pick up a trophy for a grand extra hopefully. Would it be worth it? Bearing in mind group 17 vs. group 16 insurance.

Yes the Clio seems to be cheaper to insure and gets better mpg, although not by much.
But I'd hate the hassle of having an unreliable car.
I think the Clio would be understated if it wasn't for the twin exhaust which I'm not a fan of...
