quite honestly in my personal experience (which really is just personal use) fitting a panel filter makes no odds, the difference to standard (in terms of fuel economy) is neglible. perhaps a wee bit more low down pull on take off but even in terms of performance, no "real" noticeable difference...

not from cold and remember, they've only gotta crunch 3rd good a few times and that box is on a tight rope.

I personally set my fronts to 33 psi and my rears to 31. any one have any other recommendations while on the pressure subject? sorry to hijack - well done for posting a genuine RR result too. too many "electronic superchargers" out there making it easy to get 271 bhp from a standard engine...

look on this site for NW Performance's website link. you can get one from there for £50-70 - I can't remember exactly. do not pay renault prices - these ones are of good quality. very easy job to fit yourself with a bit of patience, an axle stand a spanner - the rest is symantics. ;)

+1 when I was a naive 17 year old I had a 1.6 litre ford, and I spent alot of money trying to get more power, even from a 1.6.. and anything short of boost (thousands of pounds) wouldn't of made a big difference. when you sell the car and add the thousands needed to get near a 172's power...

and thanks @ MAP sensor, I'll see what I can sort out asap on that one. now I just need to get new engine mount from ktec, new bolts and bracket from a breakers then get ren7oaks to fit the lot unless this is something I can do on my drive with a jack and some patience? what do you reckon?

yes plug 3... and it's never been changed before! this is from factory.. @ 60k now.. I thought they were supposed to last to 70k ish? is this relatively cheap fix / something I can do myself? thanks martin, much appreciated quick response :)

even the carpet from halfords was a pretty close match, the one they do for sub boxes as you said. I haven't put mine on wood, just fitted neatly throughout the back / tucked in and held down with velcro sticky pads. looks alreet. :) I would grab you a pic but cam is crap, getting a new one...
