What tyres are you running on the 260's? I've got them on my touring running 245/40/18 all round. Got some winters in the original sizes but not sure if they will fit or not.
Still got both.
Cobb + easier to install, hand held device to monitor + log, loaded with loads of maps for different mods, alters timing curve
- generally more expensive, takes longer to switch maps, tend to run more boost to achieve similar power to jb4
Jb4 + change maps on the go through...
The jb4 is a piggy back ecu, you have to take go into the ecu box, disconnect some connectors and plug in the jb4 harness. It's not hard and takes around 30 mins once your used to it. The Cobb ap is a lot easier to use as you flash the car through the obd port. Both have there's advantages. I'm...
The difference between a jb4'd n54 and a standard one is night and day. Regarding the warranty, you shouldn't really need one if the major problems have already been addressed. Major problem only being the turbos really. I can also confirm the jb4 is undetectable once removed ie warranty purposes
Its not the exact same N54 as the 1M, it's around 30hp down on power but that can easily be upped. I've got a N54 135i so if you want any advice, fire away
335i any day of the week. Does everything well and for £250 spent on a jb4 will be pushing 370ish bhp and will be no slouch. Don't be put of by potential big bills. Just buy wisely and get one with either new turbos or with bmw warranty and you won't go far wrong.
