    Broken Eibach Sportline

Just had my mot done and a broken rear coil spring was on the rather annoyingly long list of failures. The thing is i've only had the sportlines on for just under 4 years and they've probably only covered 10k miles, probably less. Car has never been tracked or anything. Surely there's a...

    Unstable braking at high speeds

I'd bank on a knackered shock personally, I've had similar trouble in the past. Oh and if it is a shock dont take the cheap route and only replace one like i did, your opposite will go soon after!

What about upgrading the engine and gearbox mounts? Then maybe some solid top mounts and putting some powerflex bushes on too? Not exactly exciting but im sure it'll stiffen the front end up.

Ball joint failure / uneven tyre wear

Just had some work done on my car, when i got it back the mechanic noticed the drivers side ball joint needed replacing as its caused some uneven tyre wear. Apparently its a cheap and easy job so i thought id tackle it myself. Checked both tyres and both are worn on the inside. Does this mean i...

Oily finger prints on paint work

Noticed some finger prints on my car that just wont come off, i believe they're oily ones from when my car was last in the garage. Ive heard WD-40 and a soft cloth will remove them but it doesnt sound too clever to me. Any ideas? cheers

    Wet sanding before lacquering?

After spending boring money on belt services/tyres/mot/insurance etc etc, I'm going to spend some on a new exhaust system. Basically could you throw me some suggestions on what to look at? Id rather keep away from the stealth systems as i fancy a different look to the back end. Whats the...
